Overwiev:

Right now, there are 3 ONEUP liquidity pools with a total of $40,000 in liquidity. There are 41 users with more than 10,000 ONEUP. But it is not enough. ONEUP currently simply does not have enough reasons for a non-ONEUP user to start using the token. But we can change that.

This proposal is an ambitious plan to expand the liquidity, visibility, and usership of the ONEUP token on the HIVE network. The ultimate goal is to make ONEUP the token of choice for gamers on Hive to trade with by providing liquidity to major games. Payout will go to @2up to make it easier for the community to track spending.

STEP 1: Create more liquidity pools for ONEUP

Creating more liquidity pools will make it cheaper and easier for users to trade ONEUP, and it will help onboard users of other tokens while also increasing ONEUP's visibility. Of course, this will have to be done strategically while also being mindful of ONEUP's orientation towards blockchain gaming. We can make ONEUP the utility token of Hive Gaming by allowing any token in any game to be exchanged for ONEUP. This is why I think liquidity pools should be made for these pairs:

Hive-Engine pairs:

• ONEUP:SWAP.HBD is important because it would help decouple the price of ONEUP from HIVE (at least partially), since people would be able to trade USD for ONEUP. This would help insulate ONEUP from any wild swings that happen to the HIVE token.

• ONEUP:BEE would be a good pool since BEE is the governance token of the Hive Engine platform, so it is important that ONEUP users are able to gain a position in BEE for DAO voting.

• ONEUP:PAL would be a good pool since PAL is currently the cheapest token to mint NFTs in. Many blockchain games mint NFTs using PAL, like HashKings. A liquidity pool would make it easier for games to accept payment in ONEUP and convert it to PAL to issue NFTs.

Hashkings pairs:

Hashkings has 3 tokens, and only 1 of them has a liquidity pool. By creating liquidity pools for all 3 tokens, we can make ONEUP the first choice of token for Hashkings users to cash out in. The ability to instantly sell and buy large quantities of these tokens would make ONEUP more convenient than SWAP.HIVE for HashKings players.

• ONEUP:MOTA

• ONEUP:HKWATER

Rising Star Pairs:

Rising Star suffers from low liquidity. Even moving a few hundred dollars worth of STARBITS has a significant price impact. If we create the following 2 pools, Rising Star players will begin to cashout in ONEUP and some will likely keep the ONEUP instead of converting to SWAP.HIVE.

• ONEUP:STARBITS

• ONEUP:STARPRO

Other game pairs:

• ONEUP:CROP would be the first liquidity pool for dCrops

• ONEUP:LVL is good for ONEUP since LVL is a much-hyped project on HIVE. Not only that, but many ONEUP users will want to build a position for the upcoming crate airdrop.

Logistics of Creating these Pools

So I have listed 10 liquidity pools to be created. This will cost a total of 10,000 BEE. This BEE will be purchased by selling off tokens from this proposal and using it to purchase BEE. The price impact will be relatively low since this will be happening over the course of multiple months. While the short-term impact may be slightly negative, the higher number of liquidity pools will increase the number of people trading ONEUP in the future, thus raising the price in the long-term.

STEP 2: Run a tipbot and increase ONEUP visibility

This step will be executed once the liquidity pools have been created. ONEUP should be a name that every single person on Hive sees and hears everyday. Unless it is actively promoted, it will just fizz out like other tribes have in the past, or it will be replaced by another tribe that does agressively market itself. This is why I propose the community should fund a tipbot.

For every 30 staked ONEUP the user has, they can call !1UP and the bot will stake 0.1 ONEUP to the user who was tipped. Overtime 1up non-users will accumulate a sizaple amount of staked ONEUP and may decide to get involved in the network. Even if they do not, it still increases visibility for 1up.

On top of this, the tipbot will also automatically tip users upvoted by popular curation projects on Hive. That way ONEUP will be in the comments section of every high-quality and popular post on Hive. If merely 100 users tip ONEUP per day, then thousands of eyes will see ONEUP and potentially buy in.

STEP 3: Wrapped ONEUP

This will be implemented after the tipbot. We need to make ONEUP and the Hive ecosystem more visible to users of other chains. In order to do that, we will need to bring Hive-Engine tokens to other chains. I am thinking of porting ONEUP to Polygon, Fantom, and potentially other chains. With hard work and effort, we can promote ONEUP as the premier cross-chain blockchain gaming token.

Conclusion

This plan is very ambitious and would require me to invest a good chunk of time into implementing everything listed here. And I, of course, also want to be compensated for my work. That is why I will keep all the HBD payouts from the tipbot's comments. For larger tipbots like @pizzabot, this usually comes out to perhaps 30 HBD per month, while for smaller ones like @luvshares or @beerlover it is about 10 HBD per month. So not really that much, but I believe that if I support the community then they will find a way to support me.
