Well Hello There Fellow Technicians And Hivers!

Half Of Bossman's Job?

Laughs this of-course is nothing new!

There's not one thing in this shop that I don't touch after Bossman worked on it, yeahp I have to check him up now... He says that is why he got me.. Laughs! Joke is on me!

Anyways enough of those, so I had to swap this one out because Bossman added the incorrect one onto the transmission... This is sort of a computer for the transmission... or people say so but I think it's literally just the PARK/NEUTRAL and that is all.

Okay I might be wrong I am still new to all of these things but I ain't stupid, that much is certain!

Fortunately for me this is a easy swap out on the computer's! I'm glad it's not a total tear down!

The All Shining!

Okay so here is the story behind this transmission!

Remember a couple of weeks ago I shared something similar? Well this is that very transmission. Yeahp it was sort of a headache but it has never left the shop so all in all it's not a comeback!
It's still a problem though that much is true!

Well we removed it once again and opened it up and inspected every little inch of this transmission! We could not find the fault. It might be that it doesn't have a fault... It bumps when it shifts over to second gear and we don't like that.

Might be it only needed some adaptions? Not sure but we will figure it out this round!

Oh But They Are Beautifull!

That is something that would remain a fact for centuries to come! The Germans just know how to build and build properly!

I know it would look like a hotmess for most people but for a techie well they can appreciate that! Unless you've got to remove those flanges above where the transmission meets the engine against the firewall! Well then you're slightly screwed!

Anyways I think it's time to get her against the engine!

She's in there! It wasn't as much of a mission as it was the first time around but now I've got the hang of it!

The Golden Moment!

Whelp... Whelp is all I can say!

Oh Bossman has faith in weird stuff! Okay that's a lie... He knows as well as I do that this rarely works! Rarely if at all!

We've never had a transmission that we fitted that had bumps and we threw this in and the problem got sorted! NEVER!
I've seen videos of oaks that have used this and it has worked but heck I don't have a lot of faith in this at all!

Ahh well let's try it though right? We poured in two bottles in the oil and mixed it up real good, we were told to give it a great deal of miles before we can throw in the towel... Let's get to it then?

The Ontop Of That!

On top of everything we decided to fit a larger oil cooler for the transmission!

HECK I told Bossman we need a bigger one! I done did tell him! "Nah this one would be fine" he said!

It wasn't the transmission ran at a 107 and now it's running at 75 ish! What a major difference right! MAJOR!!

Not going to lie at all! This time around we really had some work to get it in there! It was momentous! I had to remove the entire intercooler to get it fitted properly! Most oaks would not have done that but I felt the need to! Don't want to break things that didn't need to!

Well there sure is a lot more space on this cooler for air to hit it!
Let's hope this gets the job done!
