Oh, man... Time does fly fast... Before creating this post, I thought that I was doing these too often, worried that I would bother you too much with the same thing over and over again... And then, I checked out my post history and realized that I wrote the last post(s) about the Car show in Alicante 1.5 years AGO!!! This time, I'm taking you to Valencia, Spain, to explore the world of cars... Just a short warning before we dive deeper... This isn't a post about supercars (Lambos and Ferraris), but there will be a few nice ones... This is more of a post about an ordinary guy checking prices of affordable cars to take you from point A to point B... 😀 I have tried to take photos of cars with prices on them, just for future reference... Btw, compared to the price last year, I have a feeling that they went down a bit... I would like to hear your opinion on this, too! Did the car prices go down in your area, too?
... and the biggest reason for prices going down (if they went down) is cars like this and regulations connected with them... BYD is the biggest producer of electric cars in the world, but somehow, I'm still not convinced about buying an electric car... yet... With the current regulations in the EU, we will probably have to go electric in the next 10-15 years...
at least they are practical... You can make popcorn using the car battery

I know for my American friends, this car looks ridiculous, but yes, some people drive cars like this in Europe... Btw, the first car that I drove here in Spain was a Fiat Panda, a bit bigger than this one, but not too much... 🤣
Okay, let's get down to the business... Now I do remember that I have visited another Car show in the meantime, where I took over 200 photos, and in the end, I didn't publish the post as I was overwhelmed... lol... Then, and now, I was checking out the prices of cars similar to this one, or a bit smaller... Renault Captur or Clio was on my mind... This time, I did similarly, and took photos with models and prices...
Dacia was next on the list... As I do have one, I'm pretty biased toward them... Unfortunately, the biggest advantage that I found isn't present in the new models... The epic, 1.5L Diesel engine is kicked out of new models due to "EU eco laws."
I'm not a big fan of SUVs, but with age, they are more and more practical... High seating, easy entry and exit... 😃
As of engine change, the second best solution is to go with what we have... I would like to skip HYBRIDs, and electric cars still have low autonomy, and luckily, natural gas still counts as "eco-friendly"! I was driving a car on gas before, and I would rather go in that direction than to electric... for now... 😃

As I have a friend who drives a Passat, I had to take a photo of this one... We are in the section of used cars, and this one had an interesting price... Legendary 2.0 TDI engine, with over 150km on the clock... Maybe too much, but these can make a lot more...
This Masseratti is out of any buying option (at least until BTC hits 150K 😀), but it is a beautiful car, with not that beautiful price... 😂
As my son bought an old Mercedes for himself, he opened the worms of cans for me... Even though his car is 20 years old, it still looks amazing... It is an A-class, but completely different from today's A class... Anyway, this car was one of the highlights for me on this car show...

IMO, this white Dacia was one of the best buys at the fair... A bit over 10K EUR, but you get a 4-year-old car with GLP (LPG, gas) for cheap driving!

It was getting late, and I got hungry, so I went out of the exhibition rooms to take a break... It was a mini-food-track show outside where you could buy a hot drink or a snack...
On the way out from the fair, these three trucks were saying goodbye to visitors, and the idea was to finish this visit with this photo... but...
I had to go back to the hall where this used Mercedes A-class was to take the last look at it... 😃

Excellent show! It's great that many of the cars have descriptions and prices. However, I can't really offer an opinion on whether those prices are dropping, because where I live, import costs can drive a car's value up by as much as 50%. I'm shocked to see how much a BYD costs that company will be a global leader if they keep up this pace. I'm not a fan of electric cars either, but just like you, I'd definitely consider getting a hybrid.
This BYD isn't their "entry" model, but rather a middle or high class! Tesla is still close to them, but not sure for how long... On the other side, more competition among producers, better prices for us...
Greetings, friend. First of all, it's great that you do this kind of activity, because it allows many people to visit, shop, and take lots of photos. Plus, the cars are very nice and modern, and I wouldn't complain about having one of those, even if it were the oldest one. Another thing that surprised me were the prices, since they are quite affordable. Here in Venezuela, they can cost double or triple what they cost there. I liked everything, and I hope you enjoyed it.
Huh... I'm sad to hear that... I do remember living in a country with a similar condition as Venezuela is at the moment, and it was the same... When there is a crisis, corruption blooms, and prices skyrocket... 😞
I think it is important for regular people such as us to find good deals on reliable vehicles. What do u think about EV compared to traditional cars?
Tbh, I'm not a big fan of EV... Most of them have a max of 400-500km of autonomy, and for longer trips, that can be a problem, especially when there aren't enough chargers on the road... Speaking of charging, that's another issue... As I don't have a garage where I could recharge the car, it would be expensive to do that on the street, at public chargers... They are usually 2-3 times more expensive than regular electricity...
I used to own a Merceds c coupe 2.0 kompressor back in 2002 , and yes it was new my better years but it was a pleasure to drive with it most of the times . I see that your A model has a D in it as for Diesel ?? from what i understood is that they want to limit use of diesel vehicles in Europe , some cities here in holland don't allow diesles anymore in parts of the city. https://www.milieuzones.nl/node/400460
Yeah, it happens here in Spain... You can't enter Barcelona or Madrid with specific (ECO) stickers, and it will get worse through next years...
As I don't care too much about going to big cities, I suppose we are "safe" for the next 5-8 years... 😃 And after that, electric cars should be much cheaper due to competition...
Cool. We have three cars, but the oldest (mine), the Peugeot 307 Break, went to the scrapyard. Next week, a hybrid is coming, a Ford Puma. I think cars are cheaper there than here, judging by the used and new ones.

I think it was a fairly nice show. I don't think prices have gone down that much here. As for electric cars, I am not that much of a fan of them either, but I think that where things are headed.
Yeah, the future with electric cars is inevitable... They are here to stay... Luckily, they will be more affordable and a bit more autonomous... 300-400km isn't too much...
