In this post I will tell an incident that I found today, as well as an experience for all of us in buying a used vehicle, in short my story is that my workshop accepts consumers who are mothers who bring cars from Japanese manufacturers, namely Honda Jazz in 2017,at first glance it looks from the outside the car is still very smooth and has been modified like an all new jazz in 2021, with paint colors that are still very smooth and there seems to be no problem with the car.

I immediately served my customer, and asked for a complaint about this car, my customer said that this vehicle he just bought about two weeks ago through a used car purchase service, frankly he didn't understand the engine problem, saw the condition of the car which was still smooth with a red color that was still red. very smooth he decided to buy the car, but the first week of using this car, problems began to be felt, he said, namely the engine was a bit heavy and the fuel consumption was starting to wasteful, entering the second week of use, my consumers were starting to get restless because this car started to smoke white from exhaust.

After hearing complaints from consumers, I can confirm that there is a problem with the pistons, I also did a check on this car, and it turned out that my assumption was correct.

Causes of broken piston rings?

One of the important things that we must take care of in a car engine is the piston ring, because it is very important for engine performance, the piston ring has a function to maintain the compression pressure of the car engine. so if the piston ring has a problem then some of the effects on the car are quite felt like my current consumer complaints are the performance decreases and the engine pull feels heavy, the volume of fuel and oil is more wasteful than usual, and of course the car will emit white smoke when we step on the gas.

In general,this piston ring problem occurs because of the age factor and also late to change the oil, when the oil has reached the time to be replaced and we don't do it or forget it, this can cause the oil to turn black, dirty, this incident is the same as forcing the finished oil dirt to keep working, this factor causes the slow circulation of the car pistons.

Maybe you are curious why the car emits white smoke when the piston ring has a problem with white smoke coming out of the exhaust because the piston ring component is damaged or worn, because this will cause oil to come out and enter the combustion chamber, so this oil produces white smoke which discharged through the car exhaust.

So in conclusion,if the piston ring on your vehicle is damaged then there is no other way that can be done other than replacing the piston ring component with a new one, so you have to overhaul.
