How to change the rear brake light sensor of a motorcycle?

Greetings to all! Today I realized that the rear brake light sensor on my BERA SBR 2023 motorcycle stopped working, so today I am going to explain how to change it so you don't have to take your bike to a shop and save some money.

¿Cómo cambiar el sensor de la luz de freno trasero de una motocicleta?

Saludos para todos! El día de hoy me dí cuenta que el sensor de la luz de freno trasero de mi motocicleta BERA SBR 2023 dejo de funcionar , así que en el día de te voy a explicar cómo cambiarlo para que no tengas que llevar tu moto a un taller y te ahorres un dinero

First we have to know what is a rear brake sensor for motorcycle? it is simply a think with a spring that when you operate the rear brake pedal of your motorcycle sends a signal to the stop light or brake light bulb to turn on.

Primer tenemos que saber ¿Que es un sensor del freno trasero para motocicleta? simplemente es una piensa con un resorte que cuando accionas el pedal del freno trasero de tu motocicleta manda una señal para que el bombillo del stop o liz de freno encienda

When it starts to fail when you press the brake pedal and the brake light or stop light does not activate it means that it is ready to change it, what you are going to do is to go to the nearest motorcycle parts store to buy a new rear brake light sensor for your motorcycle.

Cuando está piensa empieza a presentar fallas al momento de pisar el pedal del freno y no activarse la luz de freno o la luz del stop significa que ya está para cambiarlo , lo que vas a hacer es dirigirte a la tienda de repuesto para motocicleta más cercana para poder comprar un nuevo sensor de la luz de freno trasero para tu motocicleta

After you have it in your hands you will proceed to place your motorcycle on the center stand or on the donkey or as it is known in your country of origin, then you will remove the side covers on both sides for better comfort you can remove the seat but it is not necessary.

Luego de que ya lo tengas en tus manos vas a proceder a colocar a tu motocicletas en el paral central o en el burro o como lo conosca en tu país de origen ,luego vas a quitar las tapas laterales de ambos lados para mejor comodidad puedes quitar el asiento pero no es necesario

Then you are going to remove the spring that is in the rear brake light sensor and you are going to remove them from the rear brake pedal, then you are going to remove the rear brake light sensor and you are going to go to the battery side of your motorcycle and you are going to look for the sensor connector.

Luego vas a quitar el resorte que está en el sensor de la luz de freno trasero y los vas quitar del pedal del freno trasero ,luego vas quitar el sensor del la luz de freno trasero y te vas a ir al lado de la batería de tu motocicleta y vas a buscar el conector del sensor

Once you have found the brake light sensor connector on your motorcycle you will disconnect it and remove the old rear brake light sensor and proceed to install the new one.

Ya una vez encontrado el conector del sensor de la luz de freno de tu motocicleta vas desconectarlo y va retirar el antiguo sensor de la luz de freno trasero y vamos a proceder a colocar el nuevo

We pass the wires through the same place and connect the connector, then place the sensor in place and know the spring where it is placed on the rear brake pedal.

Pasamos los cables por el mismo sitio y conectamos el conector, luego colocamos el sensor en su sitio y conozcamos el resorte donde va colocado en el pedal del freno trasero

We check that everything works well that when we operate the rear brake pedal lights the brake light, adjust the game that has the sensor and proceed to place the side caps

Comprobamos que todo funcione bien que cuando accionemos el pedal del freno trasero encienda la luz de freno ,ajustamos el juego que tenga el sensor y procederemos a colocar las tapas laterales
