As much as we like the European leagues, it all started from the grassroots, the street soccer.
Infact here, raw talents are discovered and nurtured into becoming great super stars.
You'd be shocked to find out that some of the big names in world football don't even go to football academics rather they started from the streets.
In south America and Africa notably, street soccer is one they take very seriously, while most played becaise of the passion and talent they've got without minding if they played at the biggest stage or not, some played and later excel attracting scouts from all parts of the world.
So here is a local football pitch in 'Ogba' Lagos state Nigeria, they usually called this a 'super weekend'. Football are only played on Saturdayand sunday here, because most of them have works they do during the week days, so they are only free on weekends and people turn out in their numbers just to play and also to watch.
I was actually invited to come around by my brother who doesn'tmiss this every weekend and i must say i'm really impressed seeing great skills displayed, in fact some of which i did not get to see on TV
I've made a weekend routine to come out on the pitch to watch, because its actually men's game here, women are not allowed to play because its required much strength and energy and also because of the pitch conditions.
