Even for supporters of other teams it’s weird to see United in the position they are now. Watching football through most of my childhood and early adulthood, they were the team to beat. 20 years ago if you’d have told me the club would one day be languishing in mid table with a squad of players who just don’t seem to care I’d have laughed in your face.
