We are entering squeaky bum time now with it all still to play for between 6 of the 8 franchises. With the Heat still having 2 matches to play and the Thunder and Scorchers playing each just prior to this match the Hurricanes will have a clearer picture of what needs to be done by the time of the bat flip but the reality is that they will likely need to get a victory if they are to have any chance of making the playoffs.

Both sides have been reinforced during the week by returning international stars, namely Carey and Short while the Hurricanes are also boosted by the return of James Faulkner from injury. As the stats above show, these are 2 batting line-ups that are bang in form.
