Feels just like yesterday, the 2024/2025 premier League season kick started. Now we're approaching match day sixteen and close to the midway point of the season. Last time out, we looked at the key results. From the thrilling two two draw at Selhurst park between Crystal Palace and Man City, to the shock defeat at old Trafford. We also talked about the epic battle at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium. It was quite the gameweek. For next gameweek, we would be reviewing the key matches and making predictions too. Let's go.
Arsenal Vs Everton
- It was yet another frustrating day at the office for the gunners last time out, as they were held to a one one draw at the Craven Cottage. Mikel Arteta's men have scored sixteen goals in their last five matches. An average of three goals per game. Albeit, the gunners could be without key players like Thomas Partey, Ben White, Gabriel, Timber, etc. and even Declan Rice due to injury doubt and suspension. Stil, they would hundred percent fancy their chances against an inconsistent Toffees who sit fifteen on the table and with just one win in five. A comfortable win for the gunners I reckon. 3 - 0.
Liverpool Vs Fulham
- The League leaders would be welcoming mid-table Fulham with just one lose in their last five. Marco Silva and his boys will be confident going into this one after earning a point against Arsenal last time out. This should be a fairly easy game for the Reds as they look to continue their title charge and extend their lead at the top. 3 - 1
Manchester City Vs Manchester United
- A game of similar story. Two of the leagues biggest clubs, currently suffering a rut, would lock horns in a derby that has delivered premium entertainment in recent years. It has been a season to forget so far for the citizen as they suffered yet another defeat this season in the Uefa Champions League. With five of their first team players out injured, the reigning champions have looked a shadow of themselves so far. The red devils also can't seem to catch a break as they suffered yet another defeat at home to Forrest. Making it two consecutive defeats in a roll Two of the top teams at their worst form, but with this fixture, we never know what to expect. 2-2.
Chelsea Vs Brentford
- Albeit, Enzo Maresca, the Chelsea coach ensures he emphasizes that his team are not contenders yet, the results and football they have been playing recently says otherwise. The blues have won their last six games, scoring nineteen goals in the process. It is also worthy of note that they have conceded six and kept just two clean sheets. It surely is looking good for the boys in blue as they welcome the Bees fo Stamford Bridge. What a game it promises to be. 2-1.
