Weekend Edition Of Football Across Five Major Leagues In Europe

Introduction

Good day beautiful sport lovers, it's another exciting edition of weekend sport write up, with several matches sidelined already to go down. As usual, I basically write about football related matters across the five major leagues in Europe. Incase you missed my last post, kindly use this link to check it out.

This week have been a really busy week in the world of football, with clubs featuring in so many different competitions. The English League System started the EFL cup which is popularly known as the Carabao Cup. The last fixture which lasted for two days featured just 32 teams, where 16 out of the 32 made it to the fourth round.

Surprisingly, some leagues like the German Bundesliga, Serie A and Spanish Laliga, all had normal league fixtures during the midweek as well, and most of these teams would be in action later today or tomorrow. The issue of fatigue would start to tell on the players.

Talks Review

The English Premier league, laliga and serie a, has the most interesting fixtures for today. Let's quickly take a look at some...

Villa VS Brighton is going to be interesting. Another day to watch De Zerbi's ball. Brighton has been phenomenon this season, after lossing just one game. Can emery defeat de Zerbi at the villa's park, well 90mins shall tell.

Bournemouth VS Arsenal won't interest me that much, due to the injuries currently affecting the gunners. But that shouldn't be a problem because they where able to secure a spot for themselves in the fourth round of the EFL after defeating Brentford 1nil.

United VS Palace looks more like a repeated match because both sides faced each other in the EFL, where united defeated palace 3nil to qualify for the next round. Can they do the same thing today ?.

Tottenham VS Liverpool happens to be the game of the week. Both teams have to fight inorder to remain in the top four temporarily. Ideally, both sides have been awesome this season without lossing any match. Would the points be shared or one team takes it all ?.

Girona VS Madrid is another fixture to look forward to. Girona needs a win to remain in the second position, while Madrid needs a win to climb to the second position.

Few Stories Across

Manchester United: manchester united's winger Antony has resume training with the red devils after some accusation that came up against him. It is not clear if the whole situation is resolved, but Antony would be available for selection in today's game.

Manchester City: The current champions of Europe and EPl are out of the EFL Carabao Cup after they lost to Newcastle United this week. A single goal from Isak was enough to deny pep's side from moving further.

Ajax and Feyenoord: The match between AFC Ajax and Feyenoord that was later scheduled due to fans ugly behavior later ended 4nil in favor of Feyenoord. The match was initially postponed which I wrote in my last article.

Chelsea: chelsea was able to secure a win for themselves as they defeat Brighton by 1goal to nothing. A goal from Nickolas Jackson was enough to take Chelsea to the next round of the EFL.
But sadly, all Chelsea's fixtures in the month of October, November and December is going to be crazy. No Chelsea fan would want to know about this.

My Opinion and Conclusion

The teams are ready and the stadium is set, let's go out there and support our various teams.
