20 goals in half a season
Today, Lionel Messi once again showed his immense talent in the game against New England. In 11 minutes he scored a hattrick an propped up his total goals for this season to 20.
But Messi only played half of the games due to injury. He could have easily been topscorer in a full season. Right now the title is for Belgian, Christian Benteke.
But it is nice to see how Messi is enjoying playing football again, even though it is on a much lower level. It’s kind of retirement already, but with a football game every now and then. I would love to see more players doing their end of career like that. It’s a bit like a farewell tour of a music band.
