We all thought after those two consecutive Premier league wins against their arc rivals Everton and one of the consistent on form teams in the league Newcastle, that Liverpool was back on track.
It won both games by 2-0 without conceding any which had been the problem from the previous games.
But yesterday, their problem uncovered once again after being triumphed over by the defending champions of the tournament Real Madrid.
It was a promising start after Liverpool scored 2 goals in the first half when Darwin Nunez put in a goal of the month contender and Momo Salah scoring the second after the Madrid short stopper Thibaut Courtois made a slight mistake that cost him.
Madrid came back stronger and equalised before the first half ended with both goals from Vinicius Junior and then in the second half.. Eder Miltao and Karim Benzema with a brace finished the work.
This leaves Liverpool with a huge task to beat Real Madrid with atleast 4 goals to nil if they're to progress through to the next stage of the competition.
What's your say on this match. Can Liverpool get a win from Santiago Bernabeu stadium or it's done for them this season?
