Well, I',m thinking you may never have played cricket with a proper cricket ball! Even at primary school we had to play cricket with 'proper' cricket balls and we were all shit scared of catching the damn ball! We'd all be stood on the boundary praying the ball wouldn't come our way with the teacher screaming at us and calling us nancy boys!
