First of all, I wanted to watch this game to see the team's performance after the loss against Liverpool in the last Premier League match (I'll talk briefly about that in a moment). I wanted to observe the players’ behavior, how much the defeat had affected them mentally and emotionally. I must say, it seems the loss against the Reds hasn’t affected them much, as Chelsea was in control for the entire 90 minutes. At no point did they seem overwhelmed, nervous, or emotionally shaken. Quite the opposite, they showed the dominance expected of a team that doesn’t belong in this competition.
Now, briefly touching on the loss against Liverpool, I’ve seen many comments saying that Liverpool was superior to Chelsea. Honestly, I didn’t see that superiority. It's true that they got the win, and that’s fine, a well-deserved victory. But to say they were better or superior is completely false. The Reds won due to a careless penalty and because Chelsea’s defense isn’t yet at the level it needs to be. I’m not looking for excuses, but at no point was Liverpool the superior team.
Now, back to the Conference League. I’m not taking this tournament too seriously. I only see a couple of teams that could genuinely beat Chelsea, and other than that, this team should have no problems from day one to the final, where they will likely win the tournament. With all due respect to the other teams, they are several steps below Chelsea.
It’s true that this match was taken more seriously, and even though it was played with the "B" or reserve team, we saw fewer young players starting from the beginning. I expected Panathinaikos to offer much more resistance, and they did for about 10 minutes, but then they completely disappeared. It was incredible how they ran out of energy or just stopped trying, but they weren’t seen again in the match. I would have liked to see them put up more of a fight, but it seems they just couldn’t, as Chelsea dominated as expected.
There isn’t much to analyze in this game or in this competition in general, because the level of the teams is too low for a Chelsea that has spent outrageous amounts of money and bought every player they wanted. However, I want to acknowledge Mudryk, a player who has been heavily criticized for his price and performance. We’ve seen that he hasn’t lived up to expectations, and even I had lost faith in him. But today, he did everything that was expected of him. Even though the opponent didn’t challenge him much, everyone has to start somewhere, and if his drop in form is mental, hopefully, this match will be the beginning of his resurgence. Hopefully, he’ll start enjoying football again and bring joy to those of us who love the sport.

Primero, quería ver este juego para evaluar el desempeño del equipo después de la derrota contra el Liverpool en la fecha pasada por la Premier League (en un momento hablaré brevemente sobre eso). Quería observar el comportamiento de los jugadores y cómo les había afectado, tanto en lo mental como en lo anímico. Debo decir que, al parecer, la derrota contra los Reds no ha afectado mucho, ya que el Chelsea estuvo en control del juego durante los 90 minutos. En ningún momento se vio superado, nervioso o golpeado anímicamente; todo lo contrario, mostró la jerarquía que tiene como equipo y que no pertenece a esta competencia.
Ahora, brevemente, quiero decir un par de cosas sobre la derrota contra el Liverpool. He visto muchos comentarios diciendo que el Liverpool fue superior al Chelsea, pero la verdad no vi tal superioridad. Es cierto que se llevaron la victoria y está bien, completamente bien merecida, bravo por ellos. Pero decir que fueron mejores o superiores es una total mentira. Los Reds ganaron por un penalti ingenuo y porque la defensa del Chelsea todavía no está a la altura. No voy a buscar justificaciones, pero el Liverpool no fue superior en ningún momento.
Volviendo a la Conference League, no estoy tomando este torneo en serio. Solo veo un par de equipos que de verdad podrían ganarle al Chelsea, y de ahí en más, ningún equipo debería suponer un problema, desde la fecha uno hasta la final, donde seguramente el Chelsea ganará el torneo. Con todo respeto a los demás equipos, pero están varios escalones por debajo del Chelsea.
Si bien es cierto que este partido se tomó con más seriedad, y aunque se jugó con el equipo "B" o suplentes, se pudo ver que se jugó con menos juveniles desde el inicio. Yo esperaba que el Panathinaikos ofreciera mucha más resistencia, y lo hizo durante unos 10 minutos, pero luego desaparecieron totalmente. Fue increíble cómo se quedaron sin energía o dejaron de intentarlo, pero no se les volvió a ver en el encuentro. Me hubiera gustado verlos poner mayor resistencia, pero al parecer no pudieron, pues el Chelsea los superó, como era de esperarse.
Hay poco que analizar en este juego, o al menos en esta competencia, ya que los equipos son de un nivel muy bajo para este Chelsea que se ha cansado de despilfarrar dinero y comprar a cuantos jugadores quiera. Sin embargo, quisiera dar un reconocimiento a Mudryk, un jugador que ha sido criticado en exceso por su precio y rendimiento. Hemos visto que no ha estado a la altura de lo que se espera de él, y yo mismo había perdido la fe en este jugador. Pero hay que decir que hoy hizo todo lo que se espera que haga. Si bien el rival no lo exigió mucho, algo es algo, y si este bajón es mental, ojalá que este juego sea el inicio del renacimiento de este chico, y que vuelva a disfrutar del fútbol y nos dé alegrías a quienes disfrutamos de este deporte.
