Volvió el fútbol, volvió la Premier League de Inglaterra después de la insufrible fecha FIFA, que no tiene ningún tipo de sentido que se esté haciendo tan seguido, pero bueno, eso es otro asunto que ya hablaré en el futuro. Lo que nos atrae es la jornada de la liga, y yo estoy aquí para hablar de mi Chelsea, que tendrá un juego muy complicado, pero espero que podamos salir con las manos en alto y disfrutar de la victoria.
Así es, creo que el Chelsea va a ganar el domingo. Creo que se impondrá sobre el Liverpool. Sé que puede parecer algo descabellado hacer tal afirmación, pero tengo fe en que mi equipo logrará la victoria. Si bien es cierto que ambos equipos tienen nuevos técnicos, la realidad de ambos es muy diferente. Los Reds han venido trabajando con una línea muy clara; el cambio de DT no les ha afectado en nada, pues mantienen la misma base de jugadores que han conquistado y dominado el fútbol inglés en los últimos años. Y como todos ya sabemos, el Chelsea ha sido un tornado de cambios y decisiones que a todos han sorprendido, pero que ahora parece tener mucho más sentido, y todas las burlas que los medios han hecho se les devuelven a ellos, pues parece que el Chelsea tenía razón después de todo.
Como digo, va a ser un juego muy difícil. El Liverpool está invicto en sus últimos seis encuentros de la Premier League contra el Chelsea, aunque cinco de ellos terminaron empatados. Hay que decir que en varios de esos (por no decir todos), el Chelsea fue superior al Liverpool, y por circunstancias del partido, los de Klopp terminaron llevándose el empate. En otras ocasiones fue el mismo Chelsea su peor enemigo y terminó trabajando para los demás. ¿Dominio? He visto en redes sociales que el Liverpool tiene dominio sobre el Chelsea. ¿De dónde sacarán esas estadísticas? Si bien no voy a mentir que el Liverpool ha logrado imponerse en los últimos 9 juegos, el Chelsea ha logrado ganar un juego, empatar en 5 y perder en 3.
Un dato bastante interesante es que, junto con el Chelsea, el Liverpool es uno de los dos equipos con un porcentaje de victorias del 100% como visitante en la Premier League esta temporada (3/3). El Liverpool es el equipo que menos goles ha recibido (2) y el que más veces ha mantenido su portería a cero (5). Mientras tanto, solo el Manchester City (17) ha marcado más goles que el Chelsea (16) en la división esta temporada. ¡Vaya ingredientes que vamos a tener en el juego! Por un lado, tenemos a la mejor defensa de la liga y a una de las mejores delanteras, como diría el Guasón: "Esto es lo que pasa cuando una fuerza imparable pelea contra un objeto inamovible."
Lesiones y suspensiones
Como siempre, el repaso de frentes. Iba a decir que el Chelsea por fin, en mucho tiempo, no tenía ninguna lesión de consideración, pero ahora tenemos suspensiones para este juego. Gracias al arbitraje de la fecha pasada, Marc Cucurella (se come una paella, perdón) ha sido suspendido para este partido, lo que es una baja sensible para los de Enzo Maresca. Sin embargo, se puede suplir con Renato Veiga, que es toda una sensación, ¡ese muchacho juega muy bien! También está suspendido Wesley Fofana, quien a mi parecer ha dejado muchas dudas en los juegos que ha disputado. Aunque el DT confíe en él, personalmente no termina de convencerme. De ahí, buenas noticias: el capitán por fin está de regreso, al igual que Romeo Lavia, quien espero tenga más participación en el juego.
Por su parte, el Liverpool también tiene bajas sensibles para este partido, como su portero estrella Alisson Becker, quien está lesionado, y la estrella Federico Chiesa, que por un golpe se perderá el juego. Además, Elliot tampoco estará disponible para este encuentro. Aparte de ellos, no hay más jugadores que se pierdan tan importante partido.

Bueno, tengo que hacerle un espacio especial a Enzo Maresca, quien me ha sorprendido gratamente por la forma en la que ha jugado hasta el momento y por lo que ha estado haciendo con el club. Me parece que es simplemente impresionante. Maresca es de esas sorpresas que te gustan. Yo no le tenía mucha fe al saber que era un técnico sin experiencia en la máxima competición, que había dirigido en segunda división y que aun ahí le había ido mal, más allá de haber ascendido al Leicester. En Italia se llevó un duro golpe.
No obstante, ha dirigido y le ha cambiado la cara a este equipo. Ha logrado implementar una idea que sigue mejorando, pero se ve que tiene una identidad clara. Ganador del técnico del mes en la liga más difícil del mundo. Enhorabuena, Maresca.
Sin nada más que agregar, creo que el Chelsea va a ganar 2-1 en este partido. Confío en que el equipo se verá maduro, sabrá afrontar el desafío de la mejor manera, y estará a la altura.

While it's true that both teams have new managers, the reality of both is very different. The Reds have been working with a very clear strategy; the coaching change hasn’t affected them at all, as they maintain the same core of players who have conquered and dominated English football in recent years. And as we all know, Chelsea has been a whirlwind of changes and decisions that have surprised everyone, but now it seems to make much more sense, and all the media mockery is coming back to them because it looks like Chelsea was right all along.
As I said, it's going to be a very difficult game. Liverpool is unbeaten in their last six Premier League encounters against Chelsea, although five of them ended in draws. It must be said that in several of those (if not all), Chelsea was superior to Liverpool, and due to game circumstances, Klopp’s men ended up with the draw. I have to make special mention of Enzo Maresca, who has pleasantly surprised me with the way he has coached so far and with what he has been doing with the club. I think it's simply impressive. Maresca is one of those pleasant surprises. I didn’t have much faith in him, knowing he was a coach without experience in top-flight football, who had managed in the second division and even there had struggled, despite eventually promoting Leicester. In Italy, he suffered a tough setback.
Nevertheless, he has led and transformed this team, implementing a clear idea. It’s still improving, but you can see it has a strong identity. He was awarded Manager of the Month in the toughest league in the world. Congratulations, Maresca.
With nothing more to add, I think Chelsea will win this match 2-1. I trust that the team will look mature, know how to face the challenge in the best way, and be up to the task.
