This game started with a tackle on Jota, which led to a lot of controversy. The tackle happened when Jota was on his way to face Chelsea's goalkeeper. A yellow card was given for that tackle. However, some people thought that it was a red card offense.

The game felt quite balanced.

It didn't seem like any of the team was overpowering the other until Liverpool got a goalscoring opportunity from the penalty spot. Salah stepped up and scored.

The aftermath of that tackle on Jota led to a first-half substitution for Liverpool. Jota was taken off and replaced by Darwin Nunez.

The rest of the game continued until the extra time of the first half of the game. Liverpool won another penalty and it was given. However, the penalty was canceled after a VAR review.

The first half of the game ended with Liverpool being a goal ahead.

Second Half...

Chelsea started the second half with a banger. Jackson got an interesting goal which warranted a VAR check for offside. The goal stood after the review leading to a 1 - 1 scoreline between both sides at the beginning of the second half.

Liverpool gave a very quick reply.

The goal came from Jones to put Liverpool ahead in the scoreline, again. This time around, we didn't need a penalty to go ahead. The goal was the result of fabulous teamwork followed by a resilient execution by Curtis Jones.

At some point in the second half of the game, Luis Diaz was subbed into the game as a replacement for Cody. Arne Slot did a bunch of other substitutions, which helped Liverpool to solidify our stance in the game and keep our backs tight.

We ended the game at 2 - 1, with Liverpool having the upper hand. That win feels awesome.

That game between Liverpool and Chelsea was good enough, thinking in the expections that I had. Now Liverpool and City are fighting for the top of the league, that win is very important, but the negative thing was Jota´s injury, I see that Nuñez don´t play well in the Slot´s tactic. Greetings!

True. I was in a Twitter space after the game where we analyzed the game.

I also pointed out that the Injury concern for Jota could be a huge negative for Liverpool because Nunez has struggled to impress under Slot's game plan.
