For the final football game of the year, Liverpool made a trip to East London to play against West Ham United. This festive season is always busy in English Premier League. It's always a pleasure to watch Liverpool in this time of the year and they have been exceptional.

For tonight's game, all the odds are in Liverpool's favor. We've been very solid this season. We've also performed amazingly well under unfavorable odds. I went into this game hoping for Liverpool to keep a clean sheet. That's something we've struggled with in recent weeks.

First Half

The first thing that caught my eyes in this half of the game is the messy mistake Robertson made. He had two moments in the early minutes of the game when his errors led to goalscoring opportunities for the opposition. Thankfully, West Ham didn't score from those.

Liverpool, in their usual fashion, took every opportunity to press their opponent and create goalscoring opportunities for themselves. They created a bunch, but struggled to find the back of the net.

The goodnews though is that when Liverpool started scoring, they got three goals in the first half and nailed the 3 points. Each of the goals were a joy to watch.

The first goal was scored by Luis Diaz. The second goal was scored by Gackpo however, the talking point for that particular goal will surely be on the brilliance of the assist which came from Salah. Check that assist out and thank me later. Of course, the third goal of the first half was scored by Salah.

If you are a Liverpool fan, the only unappealing thing you would highlight from this first half is the injury picked up by Gomez. In due time, we would have to get more updates regarding the seriousness of the injury.

Second Half

West Ham started this half with a substitution. It wasn't a surprise though because they needed to find ways to save themselves from taking more damage in the second half of the game. However, it didn't make a lot of difference. Liverpool still humiliated them.

The 4th goal of the game was also a Liverpool goal and it came from a brilliant long shot delivered by Trent. The shot was already on the right direction. However, the shot took a deflection before heading into the net. Luckily for Liverpool, the goal was awarded to Trent while Gravenberch gets the assist.

Slot wisely rested some players at the 1 hour mark and gave the likes of Jota and Endo some game time. They both impressed in their role. Endo was ruthlessly charging into tackles in the midfield while Jota got his goal before the end of the game.

Before I wrap this review up, I sure have to give a special shout-out to Mo Salah who has been in remarkable form for Liverpool since he became a Liverpool player. He is blazing this season and he could have easily scored 5 goals today. Instead, he bottled so many goalscoring opportunities.

Well, Liverpool wrapped up this year nicely. I'm ready for the footballing adventure that awaits Liverpool in 2025.
