A British press report confirmed today, Sunday, that French Paris Saint-Germain is watching one of the prominent players in the ranks of Manchester United.
And according to the British newspaper "The Sun", Argentine Mauricio Pochettino, coach of Saint-Germain, asked to sign Spaniard David de Gea, keeper of the Red Devils.
The newspaper pointed out that Paris Saint-Germain was monitoring the situation of David de Gea, 30, at Manchester United, before carrying out a summer raid on the deal.
She explained that Saint-Germain is one of the few clubs in Europe that can pay De Gea's salary (375,000 pounds a week), in addition to offering good fees to Manchester United.
She stated that De Gea's travel to Spain to be with his wife while welcoming their first child, opened the door for the Spanish goalkeeper to lose his main seat at Manchester United in favor of Dean Henderson.
She said that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the Manchester United coach, is already planning to dispense with one of the two goalkeepers next summer, and also indicated that Henderson has also been linked to several clubs, but De Gea's departure would be better for the club in football and financial terms.
