Cadiz protests against refereeing in the match

Cadiz lodged a protest with the president of the Spanish Football Association, Luis Rubiales, and demanded that he make changes to the video assistant referee system, following "decisions against the team" for the second consecutive match, in the first division.

Cadiz lost (4-1) to Real Sociedad, today, Sunday, after a penalty was awarded against him, following a review by the video referee, and then he got a penalty kick that was canceled by the fugitive.

His player, Marcos Mauro, was also fired after further interference from VCR.

During the defeat last week (4-2), at home to Atletico Madrid, the video assistant referee denied Cadiz a penalty, after the ball hit the arm of Kouki, the Atletico midfielder, while he fell on the ground.

The angry letter was signed by Manuel Vizcaino Fernandez, president of Cadiz Club, and posted on his website after the defeat today against Sociedad.

The club said that the decisions of the video assistant referee "are not based on any criteria," while "something counts in one match and does not count in another."

"Kadesh has made his way from the bottom, and we don't care about the media, which say we owe more points, due to the errors of the video assistant referee ... We seek to get what we deserve on the pitch," the protest message added.
