Monaco striker Wissam Ben Yedder confirmed that his team's 2-0 victory over Paris Saint-Germain today, Sunday, in the French League, was expected.
Ben Yedder said, on the Canal Plus network: "We played a very good game, and we were strong. We knew that Paris would suffer physically in front of us after its match against Barcelona."
The French striker added, "We needed to win, we ran a lot, and there is still a long way to go in the league."
He concluded: "The league title is very close, with 4 clubs competing in the lead. We are fortunate to win this match, which may help us in the competition for the title."
Lille leads the league table with 58 points after 26 rounds, followed by Olympique Lyonnais with 55 points, PSG 54 points, and Monaco with 52 points.
