Esto fue un partido táctico increíble del Real Madrid donde Zidane le gano el partido muy bien a Klopp siendo superior en todo momento del partido, Los tiempos del partido el Madrid los domino a la perfección, y aunque no tuvo a sus dos centrales titulares salia muy bien de la presión del Liverpool gracias a que Militao y Nacho defendían en un bloque bajo y tenían la ayuda de Mendy y Vazquez junto con Kroos.
El liverpool por su parte tuvo muchos problemas, la falta de de sus defensas centrales titulares le peso mas que al madrid, aparte de este problema los laterales Arnold y Robertson tuvieron un nivel bajísimo en el partido, tuvieron mucho la posesion de la pelota pero no lograron concretar nada, tanto así que solo tuvieron 1 remate al arco el cual termino en gol en una jugada bastante bien aprovechada por los reds.
Una de las claves del partido fue el ataque de Vinicius Y de Asensio a las espaldas de Arnold y Robertson respectivamente, sobretodo por parte de Vinicius donde se dirigieron el 44% de los ataques por su banda izquierda junto a Mendy.
Otra las claves fue Toni Kroos, Tuvo un 90,7% de precisión en pases durante el partido donde el 12% fueron pases largos, ayudando en el juego horizontal y de esta manera vino el primer gol del Madrid un pase largo perfecto a Vinicius por el centro, el control del partido se lo entrego el medio campo del real Madrid con el gran Toni Kroos.
