Dallas Cowboys keep dealing with one blow after another. After the Cincinnati Bengals game, the Cowboys learned that breakout linebacker DeMarvion Overshown is out for the year. He suffered a ligament tear in his knee that will require reconstructive surgery and a lengthy recovery process.
Unfortunately, he’s one injury of many the Cowboys have sustained this season and the list keeps growing. Ahead of their game against the Carolina Panthers, the Cowboys released their first injury report of the week. Here’s what we know so far.
Rookie center Cooper Beebe, who has been terrific, did not practice Wednesday after suffering a concussion. The DNP is no surprise, considering the team played just two days ago. Eric Kendricks was given the day off to rest his shoulder. Special teamer C.J. Goodwin was limited with a hamstring injury that forced him out of the game versus the Bengals. Trevon Diggs, CeeDee Lamb and Jourdan Lewis were all limited. Juanyeh Thomas is still not practicing with his knee injury.
Important note: Demarcus Lawrence (foot) has not been activated from injured reserve. There is optimism that he could be back in the lineup soon, but there are no new developments to report on his status. Panthers leading rusher Chuba Hubbard (rest) did not practice and Jaycee Horn (groin) was limited at Wednesday’s practice for Carolina. Also, edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney did not practice as he sat out with a combination of rest and a knee injury. Meanwhile Caleb Farley (shoulder) and Nick Scott (hamstring) were full participants Wednesday.
