Hello Sports Lovers,
There were days when people were talking about Olympics may not be held this year too due to continued Pandemic CoVid 19 and there were protests too to NOT to start the Olympics.
Amid all those doubts and protests, Japan has successfully conducted the Olympics in Tokyo with much success although there were few cases here and there in Olympics games.
Welcome to another weekly blog for the OCD Sportstalk Community Incubation Program and as usual, we will also have a Sports Recap for the week that ended.
Sports Recap:
Olympics is into last day today with few more medals were up for grabs and USA did well today to go past People's Republic of China with a tally of 39 Gold medals and China is Second with just one Gold medal lesser than USA and hosts Japan finished Third with 27 Gold medals.
India's long wait for another Gold has ended yesterday with Javelin Thrower Neeraj Chopra finishing First with favorite Johannes Vetter not even able to make it to the final Six.
Neeraj's medal is incidentally, First gold for India in Athletics and it also marked as the biggest haul for India in a single Olympics as India grabbed 2 Silver and 4 Bronze medals as well besides the Gold by Neeraj and that means, India surpassed it's highest tally of 6 medals it won in London Olympics in 2012.
In Cricket, India and England are battling it out in the First test as Trent Bridge, Nottingham and it seems the rain is ruling it right now with match is poised to a tight finish with India needing 150 odd runs to score in 2 sessions ONLY if rain stops to allow the play.
Australia lost the First 2 T20's against Bangladesh and were on the brink of losing the series, but recovered well to win the Third T20.
In the BIGGEST of all Football news, Lionel Messi is set to part with football club Barcelona after 21 years with it and scripting his supremacy with the club.
Sports Talk Social Community Stats:
Stats for Sports Talk Social are improving ever since the OCD community incubation program announced for the community and we see a good 40 new members joining the community in last One week period and we have improved stats for the other heads as well.
There 259 active members as against the 199 for last week and that shows, the number of blogs and number of interactions have improved by a big leap.
The number of interactions have gone up as well with close to 1500 interactions in a week's period and I am sure Olympics has contributed a lot in that count.
The number of blogs we have submitted to @ocd's incubation program stands at 24, a number way lesser in recent times and that is because there are more blogs which doesn't qualify above the cutoffs we have set as standards of minimum of 500 words and genuine blogging with appropriate sourcing information.
We see many bloggers posting the content with just few lines or content with copy paste or content without proper sourcing and off late, we have been even seeing the bloggers repeating the content.
many have been even abusing the sportstalk tag by posting non sports content using that tag and we have to spend hours to keep messaging such users for First offense and second time onwards, those guys will get a downvote to remove their Sports rewards.
We don't want to enforce the negative voting, but we have to do that, to reward the genuine users only and to remove rewards for any kind of abuse.
As always, the below rules we have set on this community as minimum standards and these are included once again here for the benefit of new joinees and allow us to nominate the blogs to @ocd's incubation program and we urge our bloggers to take a note of these and adhere to it for more chance of getting curated.
- Content is genuine without plagiarism and is written by blogger in his own words.
- Images are properly sourced to include link to image.
- Blog has around 500 words (if not more than that) preferably in English and if it's multilingual, ensure English language content has around 500 words and has quality content.
4. The blogger is interacting with others within the community and is responsive to the comments posted by others on his own blog.
5. Please post the content related to Sports only on this community and don't use sportstalk and other sports related tags for non sports related blogs.
We want to re-iterate on point number 5 as we have seen much increased tag abuse from many where the content not related Sports is having sportstalk tag and we are in discussion about stopping this with me and @cryptoandcoffee had a short chat about this from the curation team and we also want to bring it to the attention of creator of this community, @patrickulrich and seek his suggestion as well as want to hear from seasoned bloggers of this community.
Thanking once again team @ocd and @sportstalksocial for the platform and support they have been providing for all the Sports bloggers on Hive Blockchain.
Thats a mistake in the info that you provided in the context of Aus Vs Ban 5 match series.
I watched all the matche,Aus lost the series by getting defeated in the 3rd match consecutively, with 3-0 victory for Bangladesh. Although, Aus managed to win the 4th match of the series.
Very true, I just missed to read about Fourth game result.
Australia looks like nemesis of itself in this series and the results will not augur well for them as they head into T20 World Cup.
Thanks for the catch :) Have a great day bro.
Great day to you also, buddy.
