Thanks. There are no Arsenal mentioned because I like to captain what the game considers to be Premium players (unless it's a Double Gameweek) - so players priced at £10.0m or higher. Arsenal don't currently have anybody who fits into this bracket so are more likely to feature within other parts of my squad but won't be considered for captaincy (not a hard rule for me but definitely a useful guideline).
There weren't any Arsenal players ranked highly in my core players either. There are probably a couple of reasons for this:
- Arsenal's fixtures (the next 6) are more difficult than the likes of Man Utd and Man City (for example)
- Arsenal's attack is distributed across lots of players and none are as talismanic as the likes of Haaland, Salah or Kane (i.e. points hoggers). Arsenal's attaking points are distributed across Martinelli, Saka, Ødegaard and the currently injured Saka. Whilst this is great for Arsenal fans, it makes FPL selection more difficult.
The 2nd point is probably the most important 👍
Now I understand, thanks for the enlightenment. Fantasy league requires a lot of analysis and not just a game I think it was,
