Break time is on ... and the transfer window is open . Yeah we've been hearing and also seeing lots of transfers going on in different leagues
and precisely the premier league. Top clubs like Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham and many more are making huge signings which we've seen and heard ,that's very good ,kudos to them, but WHAT IS ACTUALLY WRONG WITH MANCHESTER UNITED ???!!!!
This is actually getting frustrating honestly, A lot of United fans all over the world have been asking questions ( which of course gets NO reply after beating about the bush)it's no longer news that Man United has been making bids and deals , but, are we going to wait for eternity for our first signing?? . It's quite obvious that if Manchester United should start the season without signing new players ... Man United will be a joke , They might even be fighting for a place at the 1st division (it might be funny ,but it's the fact)
Actually the club has succeeded in signing a new and good Coach , whom has made a name for himself at his former club AFC Ajax. We have seen his stats there at Eredivisie, how he's helped them stay always at the top of the league , made them a real tough club indeed , no doubt you know what you are up to when you face Ajax in the Champions league. Now the Mastermind behind the clubs awesome performances throughout the years is now a Manchester United coach, and we believe he will perform excellently well in the coming season , just (or even more ) as he did at Ajax.
But c'mon , he is not going to do that all by himself, he needs players , new ones, young and vibrant. And there are players who have met to these standards of his (one of which he lost to the cold hands of Liverpool) but why are they not here yet ?? All the fans have been hearing are "rumours" "closing deals" "opening bids" and here we are into the fourth week of the transfer window.
The fans are getting discouraged and nobody can blame them , And I know for sure that even the coach himself is not happy . The board need to start doing something to remedy this situation before it gets out of hand and we even loose a valuable player (as rumours have it ).
The club has been on the frenkie de Jong case for over four weeks now ,and yet there's been no head way, only discussions upon discussions, meetings upon meetings.... JUST GET IT DONE ALREADY !!! and let's move ahead
We all know that it's not an issue of the funds because they are there, then why the reluctance and hence the delay ??
personally I love this de Jong guy,
he's a good player, one of the best midfielders in the game right now ,he's played with the coach at Ajax , he knows him so well and what he's capable of doing , which is the more reason why he's bent on bringing him to the club ,I would love to see him in the team next season also, but if he can't make it ( due to some circumstances) then let us forge ahead and look for other good midfielders. we have a huge task ahead of us, we can't keep wasting the whole summer on de Jong ,there are a whole lot of loop holes to fill in the team , from the defence line to the front 3.
Man United need an upgrade in the defence line mostly if we can be honest , following the lots of goals they conceded in the previous season. Despite having one of the best goalkeepers in the premier league , the club came out with almost no goal difference , Soo poor of them . therefore I think working on the defence department should be our top priority
And also they would need an upgrade in the front three. With a 37 year old leading the strike force alone , it doesn't make any sense at all , no doubt Ronaldo is a beast in the field , he doesn't play like a 37 year old ,many people his age retired long time ago , yet he still plays like he's at the peak of his career ,he's a great player truly, one of the greatest players ever in the history of football . But now he needs a back up , a 37 year old striker who is clocking 38 soon should not be heaved the whole weight of Man United , his attributes are dwindling.
All these requirements need to be met with before the end of the transfer window and seeing the Jong deal being an obstacle, we need to act fast, the coach obviously is a good Coach, no doubt Man United's system of play will change next season ,but there should be new signings if the club would want to compete for the top four the coming season
The truth is Man Utd don't have the pulling power they once had and players will look for better clubs with better prospects. This is not about the money being available to purchase players as players have got to want to come. Joining Man Utd is a gamble these days and players don't want to end up making a poor decision. If UTD had finished in the top 4 then things would be different, but this won't be easy as there are far better clubs to choose from. This is a rebuild and not the glory days of 10 years ago as so much has changed since then.
