Sagra Beetle

in Fascinating Insects14 hours ago

I'd only seen this beetle online, but now I could photograph it. For me, an insect enthusiast, photographing this cute little creature in person was truly a joy.

I found this photo of a Sagra beetle near a public cemetery. I really love insects, especially since I enjoy biology.

According to several articles I've read, the Sagra beetle belongs to the Chrysomelidae family (leaf beetles). It's also known as the frog-legged beetle because, as you can see in the photo, its hind legs are large and almost frog-like.

By going directly to the field to photograph it, it didn't take me long to photograph the Sagra beetle, as it's not like other beetles that are sensitive to movement and sound.

Thank you very much, and good afternoon to my fellow insect enthusiasts.
