Good day to the insect lovers and the entire hive communities in general. Welcome to a new edition of the curation report for the Fascinating Insect community.
You might be wondering how curation works in the community, thanks to @ocd, the community mods/curators in the person of @gentleshaid and @jaki01 himself surf through the posts in the community, select the better ones and submit such into a channel dedicated specially for Fascinating Insect under the community incubation program of OCD.
For emphasis, posts worthy of submission must fulfill certain criteria which have been highlighted in previous curation posts. While these criteria are there just to guide users, they are not entirely written in stones and can be modified as the mods/admin see fit. These criteria include:
- Multiple images of insects taken from different angles and showing fine details of the animal. Of course, single image posts can also be considered if accompanied by decent articles.
- Uniqueness: While each insect's image can be thought of as being unique, a large percentage of the posts in the community being about butterfly, for example, might be monotonous. Hence, authors are encouraged to look for that uncommon insects to post/write about.
- Images must be accompanied by textual description as much as possible.
Having said all that, below are some (not all) the curated posts fro this edition of the Fascinating Insect curation reports. Enjoy!
