Greetings to the insect-loving users on the hive blockchain and welcome to another edition of the Fascinating Insects Curation report where we bring to you some of the best-curated posts in the community.
After a bit of pause due to some little issues. Curation activity is back in the community - both @jaki01 and I will be surfing through the community to ensure that good posts do not go unrewarded, thanks to @ocd in that regard.
Before diving into the list of some of the best-curated posts in the past few days, let us remind ourselves of what is required of authors in order to maintain good post standards within the community:
- There must be multiple images of the insect in question, shot from different angles by the author himself and capturing the essential features. Images must be well resolved and must not be edited in any form.
- Images must be unique in a way. 10 posts with images of butterflies will definitely be boring. Avoid common insects except there is something unique about them that has rarely been seen in the community.
- Images must be accompanied by descriptive texts or a nice article relating to the images. The community is not photography, remember. Tell us something about the images you are posting.
In addition to the above, engagement is also very important for community building. In order to know that there are real humans behind user's accounts, they must regularly engage within the community.
Having said all these, below are some of the best-curated posts for this edition of the curation report.

Thanks for the report and the nice collection of posts!
In general I personally agree with this and the other criteria. However, I think we should be somewhat flexible here. For example if someone posts a single picture only ... which is the best insect picture we have ever seen in our whole life, then I think nothing speaks against curation.
I also agree that too many similar pictures can be boring, however, if someone writes a post about the different butterfly species in a certain habitat (which might all depend on certain environmental conditions) that could actually be a really great post.
I just would like to say that we are thinking humans not rule obeying automats.
That said the rules above are a really good guideline, and following them definitely increases the chances of getting some upvotes! Furthermore they contribute to increase the overall quality of the community.
