I wanted to post this photo of pyrrhocore with its elytres which evoke an African mask, not for it is extraordinary or magnificent because my little samsung galaxy tab does not have a very large resolution like a photographic camera.
I see some really beautiful images on this site, I can spend a lot of time contemplating them.
It must be said that I love insects and the animal world as a whole. I am fascinated in front of a snake or a spider but I scream when I see a cockroach (they are big in Asia) in the house !😉
To come back to my firebug which found itself on my yoga mat during a session and so I took the opportunity to take a picture of it. After session photo I tried to kick him off the mat -gently- but he found himself with all four -rather six- legs in the air.
Certainly stressed and in a survival reflex he played dead. Clever these little beasts ! I love it.
