This is a robber fly that was taken by me, close to a swamp in my town. I think this is a Cophinopod chinensis classified into the Asilidae species. The Cophinopoda genus are large robber flies compared to other genera in the Asilidae, although their physical appearance isn't much different and they are known as assassin flies that often prey on insects such as grasshoppers, dragonflies, and several species of small wasps.

This one is big one 😋👌👌 I have them also here in summer time.
Is that so? But I guess they're from a different genus. However, I love all robber fly species. They look really cool with their big glasses. 😁
True :) they look cool and also more good to make Macro photography :)
Yay! 🤗
