[Esp-Eng] UN DOMINGO DE SAFARI POR PLAYA BARACOA./ A SAFARI SUNDAY AT BARACOA BEACH.

Este post es para contarles un poco más sobre el Safari Fotográfico que realizamos en la comunidad de Playa Baracoa los días 17 y 18 del mes pasado. Los que me siguen ya vieron las publicaciones anteriores donde mostré en imágenes el desarrollo del evento. Pondré los enlaces al final para quienes deseen leerlos.

En el post anterior publiqué las que considero las mejores fotos que tomé el sábado (soy artista visual, para mí la fotografía sigue siendo entre un hobby y un descubrimiento con el que me gusta experimentar), y hoy les mostraré las que más me gustan de las que tomé el domingo durante el recorrido que hicimos por ciertas zonas de la comunidad costera de Playa Baracoa....

Aquella mañana, temprano, fuimos en busca del ojito de agua, una especie de manantial situado en la orilla del río en cuyas riberas crece la ciudad. Viniendo de una familia de pescadores, me sorprendió la actitud de los peces. Normalmente se alejan cuando hay extraños, pero esta vez vinieron hacia nosotros en manada.

Cuando el sol alcanzaba su punto más alto, regresamos a la Finquita del Arte, convertida en el Cuartel General del Safari Fotográfico, para almorzar y continuar con el programa de la tarde...así captó mi lente a los carneros que se crían, junto con cerdos, cabras y perros en las áreas de la Finquita. ¿Cuándo has visto tanta gente junta hablando bajito? jajaja....

El programa de la tarde estaba diseñado para la observación y fotografía de aves. Salimos con ese propósito hacia la laguna cercana a la Finquita del Arte. Nos adentramos en una zona de naturaleza virgen, muy espesa, abriéndonos paso entre la hierba, árboles, cercas y maleza. Allí entre la vegetación descubrí las ruinas de hierro de artefactos que al parecer funcionaron hace más de un siglo cuando había una salina en lo que hoy es la laguna.

Había oído hablar antes de esta masa de agua contenida, pero nunca me había aventurado a sus orillas. Me encanta el tono azul captado por el lente de mi móvil.

Este muro, que apenas sobresale del agua, era el separador de la antigua salina, que permitía retener el agua del mar para vaporizarla y obtener la sal.

Caminando sobre este muro pude fotografiar esta vista panorámica de la laguna. En las puntas de estos árboles castrados se posaban los pájaros que despertaban el interés de mis compañeros de safari.

Dice mi colega Mendiola que bajo estas aguas hay un suelo de cemento sobre el que se depositaba la sal. Actualmente este lugar funciona como una laguna de oxidación donde se vierten las aguas negras de las casas aledañas...por eso...¡uyuyuiii! ¡Había que caminar firme sobre el muro de piedra para no caer al agua jajaja!

This post is to tell you a little more about the Photo Safari we did in the community of Playa Baracoa on the 17th and 18th of last month. In the previous post I published what I consider the best pictures I took on Saturday (I am a visual artist, for me photography is still between a hobby and a discovery with which I like to experiment), and today I will show you the ones I like the most of the ones I took on Sunday during the tour we made through certain areas of the coastal community of Playa Baracoa...

Early that morning, we went in search of the ojito de agua, a kind of spring located on the bank of the river on whose banks the city is growing. Coming from a family of fishermen, I was surprised by the attitude of the fish. They usually move away when there are strangers, but this time they came to us in a herd.

As the sun reached its highest point, we returned to the Finquita del Arte, converted into the headquarters of the Photo Safari, to have lunch and continue with the afternoon program...this is how my lens captured the rams that are raised, along with pigs, goats and dogs in the areas of the Finquita. When have you ever seen so many people talking so quietly together? hahaha....

The afternoon program was designed for Birding, bird photography. We set out for that purpose to the lagoon near Finquita del Arte. We entered an area of virgin nature, very thick, making our way through the grass, trees, fences and bushes. There among the vegetation I discovered the iron ruins of artifacts that apparently worked more than a century ago when there was a salt mine in what is now the lagoon.

I had heard of this contained body of water before, but I had never ventured to its shores. I love the shade of blue captured by my cell phone lens.

This wall, which barely protrudes from the water, was the separator of the old salt mine, which allowed the seawater to be held in order to vaporize the water and obtain the salt.

Walking on this wall I could take this panoramic view of the lagoon. On the tips of these castrated trees stood the birds that aroused the interest of my Safari companions.

My colleague Mendiola says that under these waters there is a cement floor on which the salt was deposited. Nowadays this place works as an oxidation lagoon where the sewage from the surrounding houses is dumped...that is why...uyuyuiii! You had to walk firmly on the stone wall to avoid falling into the water hahaha!
