Hello community, nice day for everyone, today I will be talking to you about a fascinating experience that I had on my last trip to Havana, which was a few months ago where I had the joy of being approved to participate in the largest environmental event. of the country in this same year. After its completion, I stayed at my relatives' house for the rest of the vacation, which allowed me to keep in touch and visit other places. I hope you like it.

Havana, the capital of Cubans, is full of history, the largest historical center in the country, city of art, inspiring the most beautiful poems and songs. How to express the beauty of such a great and beloved city that since dawn you can feel the urban atmosphere and the comforting air of its contact with the sea.

It was in July of this same year, that I was excited because I had been approved to present a work from the University Museum where I work at the Symposium on “Natural History Museums” that would be taking place in the Environment and Sustainable Development event. Apart from the opportunity to visit once again the place that we all want to go and enjoy its proposals.

We stayed in a student residence located in Vedado, which luckily for me was in a high-rise building from where I had the best view.
The National Aquarium was the venue for the event, a motivating and allegorical place due to its theme related to the main objective of the symposium. This fascinating place represents for any human being the discovery of a world full of novelties and gives the possibility of getting up close and personal with elements that have always captivated man. Cuba, regardless of being an island, has few of these places, which is why it became a place full of possibilities regarding the knowledge of that immense part that is the oceans of our planet and its inhabitants. What can I say about the dolphin show, splendid, exciting, and fun, how creatures can create this entertainment, and above all that as the most intelligent marine race on the planet it teaches us how sad it would be to lose them in the wake of man's irresponsibility for nature.

Several nearby hotels also participated in the event, Hotel Melía, Habana Libre, Neptuno, and Tritón, among others, where people from various parts of the world presented their greatest results in pursuit of the care and preservation of the environment.
Every afternoon when I arrived at the residence I stopped to observe the beautiful landscape that from my window allowed me to see the Hotel Habana Libre, the National, the Foxa building, the skyscraper that is under construction and that is increasingly higher, part of the boardwalk and some other beautiful buildings nearby. At night we never missed a glass of ice cream from Coopelia, after long lines the heat was very pleasant, something cold on the body, then a few hours on the boardwalk to breathe this mixture of sea and city that fills our lungs with calm. The nights on the boardwalk are very pleasant, where you can see how entire families, friends, and other visitors go to enjoy such a beautiful view, and how relaxing the area can be.
The event in general was developed successfully, it allowed me to make many friends, meet great people from both geology and other sciences, and well, what cannot be missing, leisure and celebration.
At the end of the event I headed to continue my stay at my relatives' house in the Cerro municipality, this allowed me to continue visiting other places which I was eager to see.
One of my objectives was to visit the Natural History Museum, which I talked about so much previously in the symposium in which I participated. I fell in love with its exhibitions, an entire room dedicated to Geology, as well as the other rooms where I was able to see several specimens of Cuban fauna that I never thought I would see and others from the rest of the world, beautiful and fearsome. The people who accompanied me as well as I were very excited.

I walked several streets of the historic center, simply beautiful, there are no other words, to see those structures that even after the years are standing, some in repair and others that unfortunately the passage of time have deteriorated to the point of abandonment. How beautiful that city air felt, lots of people walking, sometimes there was not even space in the streets to continue, their stalls where I could see artisanal objects, paintings, musical instruments, among others, all created by the hands of these artists of the day.
I walked almost the entire boardwalk, from the Port to 23, what a way to admire the parks, the floating dock, the bars, the old square, the hotels in the area, and the statues found in each historical and cultural-themed site. I also visited the Museum of Fine Arts, incredible, I loved being able to see many works that I had only been able to see through the television screen. How beautiful the Capitol, recently restored, is a place where everyone who visits Havana takes their best selfie or panoramic photo to remember.
All this time was an experience that I will never forget, an experience that I want to repeat to be able to see other places that the short period did not allow me to do. I am sure that everyone who visits Havana has the same opinion, no one can resist so much beauty that has no comparison throughout our island, and although there are other places they do not compare with its sociocultural and architectural wealth that passes through us. from the colonial to the modern.
Anyway, I hope to return very soon and this time with new proposals to visit, apart from the ones I already have. I hope you liked my adventure and it serves as motivation for those who have not visited this beautiful city.
