RE: Why Hive is such a great place for artists

in Pro Artists4 years ago

It's a fantastic platform isn't it! And I'm having a great time getting to know people. Though the number of my replies to people are being limited by my Hive Power at the moment.

I have to admit, I'm a little hazy on where the funds are coming from to reward to authors and curators. It surely can't be just from new tokens being mined, as money can't come from thin air exactly. Does it rely on a constant supply of people onboarding?

Love the gif by the way!! :)

Dang, yeah the RC (Resource Credits) limitation in the beginning when you don't have much Hive Power is a bit of a pain, but should be less of an issue after the next Hard Fork (coming up in June, if I recall correctly). In the meantime, I just delegated a bit to you, so it should make things easier. 😊

Don't feel bad - almost four years into cryptoblogging here, and I'm still a little hazy on the whole money too... 😂 I highly recommend checking out these two guides by someone else who's relatively new to Hive, but managed to put together one of the best explanations for how everything works! Here are the links to @ryzeonline's pair of posts -

Hive: A Complete Beginner's Guide (With Fun Doodles) Pt. 1

Hive: A Complete Beginner's Guide (With Fun Doodles) Pt. 2 (talks more about the money thing)

And thanks! I have a lot of fun obsessively tagging pop culture gifs with the Hive logo putting them together. Because...

🤣

Woo! @traciyork helping all the new Hivers, myself included. I love it. I'm looking forward to June if it makes things easier (I wonder if it'll make part of my guide obsolete, lol.)

Anyway, thanks so much for tagging and linking my guides, I know they can help @mattbrown.art :)

P.S. Epic gifs! (that you didn't make, right? lol)
