Revamped Login System
If you haven't noticed already, 3Speak is now using a new "Sign Up/Log In" system. Now anyone can create an account with their Email Id. Once the email account is verified, they can connect multiple Hive Accounts as different channels (using posting Keys) under a single 3Speak Account.
We were using Hivesigner (Steemconnect) previously. Hivesigner is a 3 Step login process and it seems to be a bottleneck for most of our creators who are not blockchain or tech savy. The Hive signer explanation to login is quite confusing to many. We also wanted our users to create a single account under which they could create dedicated (multiple) channels for their video content.
How It Works
First time users can follow the steps below to create a new 3Speak account and connect with their active Hive Accounts:
Step 1 - Visit 3Speak
Go to https://3speak.online/ and click on "Login" button in the top-right corner of the UI.
Step 2 - Signup/Login
Once Step 1 is complete, Login/Signup page will open:
If you do not have an account already, please click on "Sign Up" and the following window will open:
Mention your email ID, a Strong password and Click on "Sign Up" Button. The following window will appear:
Go to your email and check the mail from 3Speak. (Check Spam Folder as well) You can click on "Verify Email" link to confirm your identity/ownership. You can now login with your id and password and follow the next step.
Step 3 - Connect Your Hive Accounts(s)
As soon as you login to creator studio with the new credentials, below screen will pop-up:
You can add the username under "HIVE Account" and click on "Next". This step has to be done once for each Hive Username you would like to connect with your 3Speak Account.
Once you add your "Private Posting Key" and Click on "Next", you will be redirected to your channel's dashboard.
Switch Accounts
Anyone can connect more HIVE Accounts by choosing the switch account option as shown below:
"Connect New Hive Account" option is same as STEP 3 in the above section.
"Switch" button will activate a different Hive Account and the channel associated with it.
This option will help the users to navigate through multiple channels using the same login id.

It's great, except you need two fields for the password. One for typing in the new password, and another field to verify that the user has created the correct password. Otherwise, people can make a mistake in their password if they only type it in once. All websites have the 2 password fields.

Great job! I noticed that when I tried to edit a posted video text, it didn't get changed. Were you previously aware of this issue? I haven't tried since you made this post though.

My only issue is that i cannot find the button to disable the download during the upload process of my videos. Also it cannot be edited after uploading. Can you help to solve this problem or maybe you'll update this button in the future improvements of the platform?

That's somehow against the royalty policy of any artist, especially professional artists ... I wish i can have this protocol through which i can choose if i want to let people to download "for free" my music ...
We know how nowadays people are just scrolling and not upvoting ... most of the time the majority of the upvotes goes to sub-mediocre things ( sorry but i think this society should face the truth)
That's why maybe not so many professional artists are willing to spend more time to post their artworks because the space it's somehow invaded with materials that in most of the cases are with a "?" ...
I'm just an honest artist by saying this, especially cause i've seen how hard it is to get the attention of the people, when they actually are still focused on silly things ...
If the society achieved its desire to have everything at one click distance ... that click should be very expensive, so they can understand what means value and what means just silly entertainment ...
I've just thought to propose this ...
Can you develop the button and the edit option after you upload your video to be able to change the photo of your video or to disable or enable the download button? If not, i guess i'll just step out ...

I think that an option like enable and disable button would offer the free will protocol for us the artists to obtain if we'll leave our videos for free or not ...
Regarding the payment time-frame ... that's why i've asked, because i've liked some videos for more than one week and the payment number was increasing after i've voted ... so inside the platform of 3speak the remuneration goes on after one week or will stop under hive blockchain protocol?

What about Hive Keychain integration? I hate sharing my posting key... way too broad of scope.
Why is it asking for my private active key?
Same reason hivesigner and co do when you login to dApps. The active key is required to grant posting authorty. That's why we added the blue box explaining it.

Probably for the 93rd time today. 😊 It's NOT intuitive at first, but once I'm logged in the new system strikes me as better and more versatile. Nope. It wasn't intuitive cos we all KNEW we already had an account and the language on the login screen just needs tweaking.

I can't connect my account to hive. The button doesn't click. I've tried several times
In some cases it seems to be asking for the private active key, not the private posting key as it mentions in the post. Generally you don't want to give your private active key to anyone, as it will give them access to the funds in your account.
In your case, which key was it asking for?
Posting key. I tried both posting and private keys. None worked. It's not about rejecting the key, the button to proceed is redundant.
You mean you tried the public posting key and the private posting key?
I noticed the same thing about the button when I tried to enter a key. The button just seems to not do anything.
When I emailed support about it, they told me to double check that I was entering the right key. When I asked them which key I was supposed to enter, they said I should enter my private active key, not the private posting key.
It seems like something funny is going on.

Right, the same thing happened to me.
I asked support about it, as the information is contradictory - saying they need "posting authority" but then asking for the "active key".
I asked support about it, mentioning my security concerns. This is the only explanation so far of why I would need to enter my private active key. And of course, it doesn't make any sense - the posting key is for posting.

So the active key would give them access to the funds in my account, which I'm not willing to do. I'm beginning to have my doubts about the legitimacy of @threespeak.
To me, it asked the private posting key. And As soon as I put my private posting key, it added my Hive account.

Seems quite easy so far, but my little challenge is that it requests my private active key to connect my Hive account, and trying to reveal my active key is always futile no matter how many times i log in, I'm brought back to the same page with dots, the keys not revealed.
If it has an option for posting key, or if i can reveal my active key?
Also, can audio content be uploaded on threespeak?

Generally, you shouldn't give your private active key to anyone, as that will give them access to the funds in your account.
The problem with not being able to see your keys... it's likely because you're signed in with insufficient permission. To see that private key, you'll probably need to be signed in with your master password or owner key. Perhaps currently you're only signed in with your posting key.

This is a good question. Users with may find it quite exasperating to have to provide an email address in order regain access to their accounts.

Unfortunately, there was a problem. I can't connect my 3S account with an existing Hive account. After entering the login and Private Active Key, nothing happens. Does the platform have any problems?
