It Is...

It is...

...brighter than a thousand stars,
if they all rested, compressed onto,
a single, tiny, speck of sand,
so why is it so hard to find?
even when, so bright, it shines?

more valuable than a thousand,
perfect diamonds, cut for a goddess,
more delicate, than a butterfly's eyelash,
yet, resolute-foundation, beneath chaos,

it's what scars my heart, delightfully,
with a deep, and branded, unique mark,
undeniably, possessed, by choice,
by the one, who does possess it,

and though my offerings come from hands,
so dirty, and feeble, please, understand,
that there is a strength, that lies beneath,
to which I hold so dear and keep,

so tightly clutched within my grasp,
from birth I've held it in my hand,
for it, I kept, deep in my soul,
a place where no enemy could ever go,

so that, one day, when I found you,
although, I had not met you, yet,
I could show you, what it is, in me,
my vulnerability, because you shared,
yours, too, with me.
