Meris Enzo Sound Experiment for #straturday

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

Here is my first time playing around with the Meris Enzo pedal that emulates a synth. There are quite a few different settings and synth sounds. This one kind of reminds me of an arp with some delay on it. I have barely scratched the surface of this pedal and it's intricate multilayer controls. For this one I mainly played with the arp sound and pitch shifting the main notes in sub range for the bass part and in octaves for the leads. I played all the guitar parts on my stratocaster plus. More soon on this pedal, thanks for listening :-) #meris #straturday

I hadn't heard of that pedal. It makes some cool sounds. There's really no limit when you add effects to a guitar.

This pedal is really confusing, they have a sub menu thing where you press and hold down a button then turn all the knobs. Then you have to release the button and then you can adjust the main parts of the effects. It could use a usb port on it so you can easily edit the effects on a computer rather than by hand.

Sounds a bit heavy. Does it save presets? You would think it would not be hard to have app access via your phone these days. You do make me want to explore my own effects a bit more.

After you said this I did some searching and someone programmed a software on their own to control it, though it still requires a midi device to send it the presets. https://github.com/ElliotGarbus/Enzo-Editor-and-Librarian/releases

Yeah there are presets but you have to buy a midi pedal to send the presets to it. Otherwise you can get to the presets via the manual method of holding down the button and turning the knobs just the right way.

This is the crazy pedal https://www.meris.us/product/enzo/ Their other ones are interesting looking as well but given how confusing they are to operate I may wait until one is steeply discounted to get another one.

I saw the prices. Given I'm just messing around I'm not likely to buy expensive pedals for now.

Mine was a b-stock on memorial day savings about $100 savings.

Great sound from this pedal! I really should invest in some pedals. I've never used any and have just been jamming to the standard stock sound from my guitar through a lot of amps and stuff from Pod Farm and other PC software. Would be cool do do some footwork to control the sound as well.

I have alot of pedals left over from before guitar software was any good. Though now with bias fx 2 you basically don't need any pedals and you can send the software presets directly to a bias fx pedal or spark amp. Though I still like the unexpected results from analog pedals.

Cool sounds you are creating!

Thanks for listening, I just used one preset there are at least another 50 presets on this pedal I haven't really delved into.

It makes great sound. Wow

Thanks I've been finding more and more new sounds, I'll definitely do a part 2 with more sound variations.

Great sounds. You should do a walkthrough with the pedal. My old guitar teacher had a synth-axe back in the 80s. I could mess around with that for hours.

I almost got one of those synth guitar pickups that would hook up to a roland synth. Fortunately I never pulled the plug on that, now there are so many amazing synth pedals and midi guitar things out. This enzo pedal is a bit of a PITA though, I may have to get the external midi pedal to change the settings more quickly rather than manually turning knobs just the right way.
