INGREDIENTS
(1) 4 CUPS FLOUR
(2) A CUPS OF UNSALTED BUTTEER
(3)A PINCH OF SALT
(4)10g ICING SuGAR
NOTE: IS VERY IMPORTANT TO FREEZE THE DOUGH TO AVOID MELTING WHILE BAKING
TO START PROCEDURE
1.CREAM THE BUTTER AND SUGAR UNTIL WELL INCORPORATED
2.PUT IN YOUR FLOUR.THEN ADD A PINCH OF SALT
MIX IT TOGETHER AND KNEAD INTO A DOUGH
WRAP DOUGH IN A CLING FILM AND TRY TO FORM IT INTO A RECTANGLE AS MUCH AS YOU CAN.IT SHOULD BE ABOUT HALF AN INCH THICK.
5.NOW PLACE THE DOUGH IN A FRIDGE AND LET IT COOL FOR ABOUT 40 MINUTES(YOU NEED TO DO THIS SO THAT YOU CAN SHAPE YOUR SHORTBREAD PROPERLY. TAKE IT OUT AND ROLL OUT TO ABOUT A QUARTER INCH THICK.LEAVE THE CLING FILM ON WHILE DOING THIS.
6.TAKE OFF THE CLING FILM AND TRIM THE EDGES TO FORM A RECTANGLE OR SOMETHING IN THE FORM OF A RECTANGLE ABOUT 3-6 INCHES LONG
7.KEEP IN THE FRIDGE TO HARDEN FOR A FEW MINUTES THEN YOU TAKE IT OUT AND CONTINUE, YOU CAN ALSO FREEZE FOR QBOUT 20 MINUTES BEFORE BAKING IF YOU FEEL IT TOO SOFT SO THAT IT WILL NOT MELT IN THE OVEN.
PLACE UR CUTS ON YOUR PREPARED BAKING TRAY.USING A FORK TO POKE EACH PIECE A COUPLE OF TIMES.
NOW BAKE IN THE OVEN FOR ABOUT 15-20 MINUTES OR UNTIL LIGHT MILKY BROWN IN COLOUR
10.WHEN IT'S BAKED SPREAD IT ON A TRAY TO DRY
