Hello Hivers, it's me, Novembees, and now I'm back on this journey. Sorry for the long time I did not provide any updates for my blog; it is because of how busy I am with school. I am writing this blog to make you aware of how to make roasted chicken recipes.
On November 15, 2024, we have a task to choose which recipes we want to cook. Our instructor announced that any type of cooking method could be used to create delicious recipes. Our group chose roasted chicken, and we are sure that we have a twist to make it unique.
For you to be aware of what ingredients we have during the project;
1 whole chicken
pure and creamy Butter
spreadable butter salted
white pepper
black pepper
salt
potato
onion
soy sauce
cucumber
tomato
Before we start, we have 5 minutes to apply mise en place for the preparation of the ingredients and tools in one place so that we can easily get what we need and avoid struggles during cooking.
For the rules of method, we need to have different chopping boards to prevent the transfer of harmful microorganisms.
The first thing we do is slice the spices to make a marinated sauce for the chicken. I really do my best for the chicken, as I really double my efforts to thricks the body of the chicken.
For the marinated sauce, we have soy sauce, onion, black pepper, salt, and sugar for balance. We also add a little bit of butter so that the texture remains smooth and juicy.
( we marinate for just 30 minutes)
After 30 minutes, the chicken looks brown, and we decided to put it in the oven, but it should stay in the oven for at least 1 hour and 30 minutes.
While waiting for the chicken to finish, the second thing we do is clean the potatoes and slice them into any shape you prefer so that they can be easily boiled.
(After 30 minutes we checked the chicken if there's any problem and we patiently put butter).
Moving forward, the last part we do is slice the cucumber and tomato for plating, since the chicken is already cooked and the potato is already boiled. We apply the classic methods of plating.
And this is the final result for our roasted chicken recipe. The final plating for us is the best. I really like the taste of the chicken the texture is juicy. The only problem is a little bit salt we put.

Afterwards, we prepare 5 minutes before we start the defense for the recipes. The exciting part I love is presenting and introducing our recipes, as well as discussing the strategies we have and the twists we’ve added.
"Making these recipes is such a wonderful experience for me. This is our first time doing this kind of recipe, and the kind of nervousness we encountered is not easy for a first-timer. But the effort we have is not just one, but hundreds of efforts we put in for the sake of our recipes. Our teamwork really worked during the task. A Filipino dish with a twist of originality".
