Hello everyone, today I'm here to greet you with food by going into my kitchen. And this time it's a nostalgic menu because it's a family favorite since I was in Thailand. When my mother was still alive, she liked to make this menu. But the menu I made was slightly modified to suit my preference by changing the meat from chicken to beef. And the menu I'm going to recommend today is "Spicy Mango Salad with Beef".

Ingredients
  • Mango
  • Minced Beef
  • Fresh Chili
  • Shallot
  • Garlic
  • Lime (If the mango is already sour, you don't have to add it.)
  • Chili Powder
  • Fish Sauce
  • Fish Sauce
  • Seasoning Powder
  • Lemongrass Powder
  • Vegetable Oil

Preparation Steps
  • Cut fresh chili, shallots, and garlic into small pieces and then roast them over low heat until cooked to give them a nice aroma. Then set aside to cool and then pound them until fine. While waiting,

  • Roast the minced meat in a hot pan with a little vegetable oil to prevent sticking to the pan and for oiliness. Season with fish sauce, seasoning powder, and lemongrass powder for aroma (if you have fresh lemongrass, it will be more aromatic and delicious). Then fry until the meat is cooked. Continue to fry until it is dry, slightly burnt to make it aromatic.

  • Then pound the roasted meat together with the chili paste. Pound until well blended. Season with fish sauce. If you don't like fish sauce, you don't have to add it. It depends on your preference. For me, I add one spoonful for a balanced taste.

  • Add chili powder and squeeze lime juice to add sourness. Actually, if the mango is already sour, you don't have to add lime. But I added it because I couldn't find any sour mangoes, so I had to add lime juice to add sourness.

  • Then, put the chopped mangoes in a mortar. Pound everything together. The sourness and sweetness of the mangoes will enhance the taste and make it taste well-rounded.

  • When done, serve. Eat with fresh vegetables for even more deliciousness. Today, I got lotus roots, so I ate them together. It was very delicious. In addition, I also had sticky rice that I steamed to eat with it.

  • And this is the spicy mango salad with meat, a delicious menu from childhood. For those who have never tried it, you can try it. I hope everyone enjoys my cooking this time. Thank you for following. Have a nice day.
