Healthy Chicken Bone Broth - Natural Collagen for Your Bones

in Hive Foodlast year (edited)

Hi, dear Hivers! I want to present you a special food I make for a friend who has medical issues with his bones. Being rich in collagen, such bone soup helps the bones, and when done appropriately, it can be not only healthy but also tasty. It can also strengthen your bones without necessarily being in a medically difficult condition.

Although I am a vegetarian and don't eat meat, I found it necessary for my friend, and I wanted to help him with it. So, here are the steps I took in making this food that you can also use at home if you want to strengthen your bones.

The first thing I did was buy the bones. I bought them from a local meat store, and hopefully for you, you can also find them in your country of residence. The ingredients for this soup are the following:

Additionally, one can add salt and pepper. The person for whom I make the soup doesn't usually eat salty food or food with pepper, so I didn't add these ingredients. Anyway, the ingredients should be minimal. Adding other ingredients or too many to give it different tastes might alter its power to heal the bones.

Here is the procedure I followed:

You boil the parsley, onion, garlic, and bones in a pan for around 2–3 hours. The boil-fire temperature must be set to low. From time to time, you may add water if the water level decreases too much.

After this time you gently take out the soup the bones one by one. Remove the meat with a fork until only the bone remains, which you throw away. Put the rest of the meat back in the pot. And this is how you proceed with all the bones without necessarily turning off the fire during this procedure.

At the end of this point you are ready to end the boiling process (if you didn't do it before) and to mix all the boiled ingredients with a blender until they have the consistency of a soup.

After using the blender, the soup will be strained to get rid of the rest of the bone pieces that might not have been completely crushed in the blender.

At the end, put it in a shape and after it cools down, put it in the refrigerator.

After it has been in the refrigerator, it hardens, becomes gelatinous and can be cut into attractive cubes that can even be taken to work in a box. Their appearance is so pleasant that no one would guess what you are eating. It's also tasty.

I wish you

This chicken bone broth can be made at home with a small quantity of ingredients, and it is cheap as compared with the bone broth soups in the markets. It can be used to treat delicate medical bone issues, such as hernias or protrusions, but also to prevent bones conditions, or in the elderly. However, this shouldn't be the only alternative for preventing or treating bones. It should be a supplementary component for more specific or complex interventions.
