When I was a child, we live at my dad's side of the family for years and I can't even remember what I am eating on those days LOL. I have conversation before with my parents that I had never tasted their cooking when I was young. I remember whenever I don't like the food, I always eat rice with milo (chocolate powder) or rice with banana ketchup LOL. So yeah, that is me when I was kid and since we move back again on my mother side permanently and I never been so thankful for that, I ate a lot of home cook foods and learn to eat vegetables.

So yeah, eating vegetable is not bad as long as it is flavorful and cooked right. Chop Suey is one of the foods with a lot of vegetables I love to eat thanks to my grandmas that cooked this for me know I can recreate it whenever I wanted, and I am thankful for my mom who never a strict person letting me and my brother cook as young as I can remember hahaha now they have a home cooked meals whenever they got home from work.

In a hot pan I pour 1 tbsp of cooking oil.

4.jpg

I then add the chopped pork into the hot pan and cook it until golden brown or until crispy.

5.jpg

6.jpg

When the meat is starting to brown, I just mix it up to cook the other side.

7.jpg

8.jpg

When the meat looks crispy and brown. I am adding the garlic and onion in.

When the garlic and onion start browning that a sign that it is cooked.

I am now adding 1 tablespoon of Fish Sauce for flavor.

And then I added the chicken cube in for extra flavor.

And then I added the veggies in. Sauteed it for a minute to release the fragrance. By the way I first cook the veggies that needed to be cook longer.

And then I add the cabbage in for the last.

33.jpg

I then mix the food and close the lid again and cook it until tender.

36.jpg

Now that the vegetables are cooked. I then mix a 4 tbsp. of water into powdered milk, and I added that into the vegetables. I make sure that I turn off the fire before doing that.

That rice with milo, or bear brand, lots of kids loves that combo. Lalo kapag talagang walang maulam or di trio ang ulam. Hehe.

Anyways your choo suey looks masarap. Isa din yan sa fav ko na gulay, I also love liver's chicken in my chop suey. The best din yan, minsan walang lahok. Then paired with any dried of fried dishes.

ohh yeah that is trueee for real~ hahaha :D

oo masarap siya lasang chopsuey hehehe. oo chicken liver at itlog ng pugo. oo basta gulay best kahit ano :D
