Getting places where they serve good food will continue to be of my interest, that is why on this date I went to an Asian or Japanese food restaurant, in the exclusive area of the city, with the intention of trying the onigiris, a traditional Japanese dish and this is what happened.
The restaurant is called OnigiriBog is located in a very exclusive "T" zone of the city where there are several high quality restaurants very recognized, upon arrival I noticed that it is a small place of about 8 tables of approximately four chairs, has a shared bathroom with a local next door, We were received very kindly, since I went with my partner, we were located in an area in front of the kitchen to take a look inside, the decoration already caught my attention with objects alluding to Japan and gastronomy, there was a Japanese cookbook, a synthetic bonsai and very nice iron teapots.
Next I will leave my own photographs with the price in dollars at the current exchange rate so that you can know the value of each dish, let's start with the star dish and most important the onigiri.
The onigiris are rice balls with typical triangle shape regularly filled with some type of protein such as salmon, tuna, or some vegetables, in this case we bought three different types, the first of traditional cooked tuna, the second of cooked salmon also and the last one that caught my attention was the Colombian onigiri an adaptation or function of traditional ingredients such as beef with pieces of ripe banana and cilantro that I personally liked the most.
These are rice paper rolls filled with mango, carrot, cabbage, cucumber, mint and roasted chicken chunks, with a bed of thai peanut sauce, very tasty but too cold for my taste.
Since it was a bit on the stiff side, we requested a hot peppermint tea which was served in a black metal pitcher that was decorated in the restaurant. Also, in ceramic cups of Japanese type, very beautiful and pleasant.
I could not miss the dessert although I only tried a little because I did not want the ice cream to make my flu worse, the taiyaki is a crunchy fish-shaped bread made of wheat flour filled with nutella or hazelnut cream with vanilla ice cream decorated with chocolate syrup.
