Hello, hello dear friends! Welcome to my blog of super easy and simple recipes to make in the comfort of your own home with just a few ingredients. If you'd like, you can grab a notebook to write down the ingredients for this next recipe I have for you. Yes!! It's a delicious cherry syrup that my grandmother taught me to make a while ago, perfect for spreading on bread or whatever you prefer. 🍒🍞
You can use this recipe to prepare other types of fruit like pineapple, peaches, apples, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, passion fruit, and more. I especially like it for guava because, as my grandmother used to say, you can make tarts with this syrup. It's similar to jam but a bit more liquid. But if you still don't know how to prepare it, here are the ingredients and the process. I hope you can make it when you have the required materials. Come, let me show you the process...

Paso 01
Step 01
Well friends, since I have the great advantage of having a cherry tree at home, and taking advantage of the season, I have picked a few that I know will be very useful to me. In this case, I picked about 1/4 gram of cherries, which I took to the washing machine to wash them well and remove the excess dirt that cherries sometimes have, as well as the small stems that they have on top.

Step 02
After washing them thoroughly, we will place them all in a small pot and add water completely. Over low heat, we will cook them for 30 minutes; they should boil.

Paso 03
Step 03
Once some time has passed, we will add the sugar little by little and stir well. Now we will cook for another 30 minutes so that the sugar can melt and the cherries can absorb the sweetness.

Step 04
Now we add the cloves, which will give our syrup a super delicious smell and aroma. I only add three for this amount, but if you're making more, you can add four to five cloves. Let it cook for five more minutes, and once it thickens and our syrup has a shiny, caramelized texture, it's ready. Remove from the heat and let it cool to room temperature.

Once our syrup is cold, we can enjoy it with whatever we like, as I mentioned, with a delicious sponge cake, bread, or whatever you fancy 🥰 I hope you liked this simple recipe from my grandmother, which she gave me and I'm sharing with you so you can make it too.
