And there is the proof that i'm unable to write a post about bread without having to run to the kitchen after and make myself some sandwich... hahaha.
Since i haven't really posted for "ages" (in hive terms) i guess it is okay to give myself a second chance, all in one day, to make you drool.
My love came home today with a surprise for me. And the surprise was a decent piece of pork belly. Hmmmmm, yummy yummy! Surprise because i know that she doesn't like pork belly at all, so it was all for me. Woohoo!
Into the kitchen and cooked to the point it melts like butter, even the pigskin. Then let it cool down and rest until the evening.
But aaaaaaaaaahhhh, there was no fresh bread left for a sandwich. Lucky me i had some burger buns frozen not long ago... took them out and heated/baked them until crispy.
Same with the pork belly, cut in slices and sizzled to make it golden crispy too. Put some home made wild garlic pesto on to the base, green salad, pork belly, dried tomatos and grated cheese... all to myself.
Now let me go and finish this Yummy Tummy while wishing you the same luck to get your favourite food as soon as possible...

YET (in this sentence) = short trigger warning for: all those who are not as happy as we are and have not cluttered up their bellies with tons of unnecessary fat and sugar.
Includes also: all the poor devils who "voluntarily" undergo a so-called diet. And among all these especially those who then like to complain everywhere.

Ah, pork belly, the best part of the pig! It's been on my shopping list for months now, but my preferred grocery store being mostly halal and very little pig, they haven't had any for ages. Sooner or later I guess I'll have to go look in some other store.
Thanks Treefrognada for passing by. I agree big time for the meat part... though my top fav's are the innards, which are the source of the real nutrients of meat.
I personally understand and support the halal way, though living in middle of Europe doesn't give me choice to support that way of living here.
To get you some "yummy tummy" i wish you good luck and a "bon appetit" if you do.

I have to agree with your Love. Don't do the pork myself (rarely to never). Nor would any animals,,, but I don't have a decent diet or time to prepare and cook much so must eat a bit of cow and chicken at times (sorry, Mr Cow and Mr Chicken :/)
My son, however, would probably ask you to adopt him and move in permanently if he saw this!
