Hello, hello, hive gamers.
AAAAH I bring you gossipeeeeee π, well, I'm going to try to say it without getting too excited but no promises.
Probably some few read it over there and some didn't, but the thing is that I was recently working with a project that I have the faith of Toreto, beautiful people. Have you heard of @ragnarok.game, the new blockchain game? Well yes, I worked with them and it was a very challenging experience, but very cool.
Apart from new experiences, I can also say with certainty that I absolutely fell in love with the visual identity of the game. The whole mythology theme is without a doubt one of my favorites. So this post is mostly to get rid of my fanaticism or make it clear.
Ragnarok Game
Ragnarok is inspired by the Nordic Gods mythology, and will basically be a mix between chess and poker. This is what has been shared about it. It is not known when the game will be released, but they have already communicated that they are in the middle of development tests.
A new NFT game
We have previously observed the birth (and death) of several games of this style and for many the term is not unfamiliar; Play to Earn, or P2E, is a method of gaming based on blockchain technology that allows players to earn rewards for playing that they can then exchange or sell within the crypto market; something that makes them attractive today.
Last year saw the rise of these games worldwide, although for many here it was not something new after having experienced games like Splinterland, the truth is that the term blockchain is still new in some parts of the world. But with Axie Infinity and Plant Vs Undead the situation skyrocketed to an unimaginable level.
On the one hand Axie Infinity was inspired by Pokemon and on the other Plant Vs Undead was a paid version of the classic Plants Vs Zombies but we can ask ourselves this question: What made the economy of these games fall so dramatically?
Although both seemed to have an initial investment that not everyone could afford, it was only necessary to see how the first lucky ones collected their juicy profits for everything to go crazy.
What could be expected from the DUAT? The DUAT is the currency that governs the game for now, as far as we know there is an exchange ratio explained here where for a certain amount of DUATs you will get a Ragnarok token, in fact you still have a chance to request your DUAT claim drop before the game starts.
What will happen to the sustainability of the Ragnarok game economy when a mass of people realize the potential of Ragnarok? Because I believe it has.
The game will have its own NFTs, which in the end I don't know if they will be cards or chess pieces with other names.
What will prevent the economy of the game from collapsing as has happened with other games in the NFT market? There will then be a limited reward to players once the game reaches a limit.
My expectations about the game are high, and I seriously hope that it will be a profitable game, I imagine that at the beginning it may have to make an investment, like any game of this style, maybe a little high or very high, but in sero I have Toreto's faith in thinking that it could be a totally profitable game.
I met many people who a few months ago, when things were going well with Axie, were living off it alone. It would be great if Ragnarok could offer the same in its due time of glory.
My expectations about Ragnarok Game
I'd be lying if I said I've ever played a game in my life, but I'm still far from considering myself a gamer. And my blockchain gamer experience boils down to Splinterlands.
I don't plan to address issues here about game strategy because St. Google knows I've never been interested in these topics in my life, but I do plan to touch on things like aesthetics. Everything they've shown on social media about the development is amazing and looks super cool.
Starting from the fact that it is inspired by mythology, I have some doubts: Will we see only Gods and creatures from the Norse mythology inside the characters or will it be much more than that? How could both games be mixed?
Regarding the NFTs and mythology, I am intrigued if the powers or abilities of the pieces will be related to the history of the character that gives it its name. In other words, if there is a piece called Thor, should I expect it to have an attack related to throwing lightning bolts? If so, I wonder what will happen with gods that actually have a somewhat unusable power in battle, such as Freyja who is considered the goddess of love. Or, unless by this fact, she acquires the piece some seduction ability or something like that.
On the other hand, I understand that the game will have a complexity if I consider that they would be mixing poker strategy with chess. Then, will it be a game that could be easily accessed by anyone interested or will it cover a different level of preparation?
Sooo... I'm going to keep an eye on the next updates of the game and every stage, so I can be from this interesting stage of the game's development.
So thank you for reading, I hope I have covered the subject in the best possible way.
