Wow, what an amazing picture.
I think local populations are bound to attempt fakery to get more business to an area such as Loch Ness, however I don't see any attempts at faking in Baikal. Many weird anomolies have been covered up or dismissed by Government over the years which I find interesting. Who knows what the truth is? I just find the legends fascinating.
