Once Tipu Sultan was about to attack this temple. He came with the entire army to attack the temple. After coming to the temple, he looted the temple completely and set fire to destroy the temple. But the rains started abruptly on the highway. The rain was coming out loud because of which the fire in the temple was extinguished and its army wanted to finish the temple but she could not do anything to the temple. Even after all this, the temple was in very good shape. In the last, Tipu Sultan and his army left from there.

This cultural city of Kerala is called God's house. Kerala is included in the 10 most beautiful places of the world, which is also called Paradise, near the sea.

This Guruvayur city of Kerala in south India is located in the district of Trichur. The beauty of this city is indescribable. In Guruvayur, Lord Guruvayurappan has a very famous temple. Guruvayurappan is considered as the most prominent deity here, who listen to every prayer of his devotees. In the neck of Lord Guruvayoor, necklace of holy basil is worn. The aura of this image of God is seen from a distance.

Guruvayur Temple History

It is believed that this temple was rebuilt in 1638. This temple was done by five devotees to make the most famous pilgrim center of Kerala at that time.

In 1716, the Dutch attacked this temple and set fire to the temple. But again in 1747 this temple was built. In 1766, Haider Ali took control of Calicut and Guruvayur. But he had taken 10000 furrow from the Wataakkap warrior, in exchange for which he had left the control of the temple.

After that the insecurity of this temple had also increased and the people had stopped coming to the temple, due to which the donations received to the temple were finished. But after seeing all this, Hadar Ali in 1780 declared the temple to be 'Devadai'. But to give this donation, the Governor of Malabar Srinivas Rao had recommended to the King, due to which the temple could be saved.

In 1789, Haider Ali's son, Tipu became the king of Sultan, why he wanted to defeat Zamorin and wanted to make people of Hindu religion Muslim. Due to this fear, the main deity of the temple had hidden the idol of idol worship at a different place and the statue of the festive god was taken to Ambalapuza.
