People of Baekje kingdom never had imagined the fall of their country. As people of the fallen countries’ had suffered difficulties in history, it seemed that Baekje people had suffered the miseries in their lives.
There were several attempts to rebuild their country again. Even Japan had sent the army to revive Baekje Kingdom again, there were fierce battles between Japan and alliance of China and Shilla.
Finally Japan had been defeated near the Back Gang river and the name of Baekje had disappeared into history.
Even the complete collapse of Baekje Kingdom, people of former Baekje Kingdom never had forgotten their loving country.
What I saw in the corner of 2nd floor in the Gongju museum was a sculpture of 1000 Buddha carvings for the health of Baekje Kingdom’s royal family.
Let's look at this sculpture in more detail.
Now nobody remember people’s pray for the fallen kingdom.
Do you imagine people's thoughts and feelings of the fallen dynasty
I wish Steemians sympathy the feelings with me.
I can only imagine the effort it took to carve out this masterpiece. The attention to detail around the main Buddha sculpture is also impressive.

I sympathize with you, because nobody could ever had imagine the fall of this great dynasty. Baekje was a great maritime power, its nautical skill, which made it the Phoenicia of East Asia, was instrumental in the dissemination of Buddhism throughout East Asia and continental culture to Japan. In 660 it was defeated, by an alliance of Silla and the Chinese Tang Dynasty, and submitted to Unified Silla. Nice pictures @slowwalker
Thank you for good explanation
This must have been a tragic ending for the Baekje Kingdom. This sculpture is totally a good remembrance for a very historic kingdom.

When a country falls people loose everything. Family members, money and happiness. They become slaves and end up where they have never expected. It is sad to see what people have gone through in the ancient time.
Nice art and nice shots :)

Es impresionante, cuenta con mi apoyo. Gracias por dar a conocer la historia de tu país.
Glad to learn about history of your country, thanks for sharing...
It's a tragic history. Many of the kings of ancient times were oppressive rulers. In the age of oppression of these rulers, many nations have been destroyed. Do you know the history of my country? Many of our ancestors were persecuted. Now we have passed that bad time.
Taxila is full of Ghandhara remain & cravings of budha .

You are doing much good with these posts...Thanks..
Only a faithful nation is capable of such prayers. Looks impressive.
I am very sympathetic to the collapsed kingdom or kingdom of the world civilization. We must be sad when our country or work collapses like the Soviet Union and the Ottoman Empire. In this case I really agree with you my friends @slowwalker.
And the thing I admire here is that baekje people managed to make a high cultural heritage proved by the existence of thousands of budha statues of their relics.
I am very interested in this post @slowwalker.
Thank you very much for sharing to us this historical information.
I wish Success is always for you my friends.
Buddha is great person
The cultures teach us to be better, morally and spiritually. Your posts are inspiring with many genuine details. Spirituality is the only thing in which we can find peace and wisdom that leads us in life. Only with spiritual things can we solve material problems, thank you for wonderful posts.

인상깊네요, 나라를 사랑한 백성의 마음이 저런 것일까요
사실 백제에 대해서 잘 몰랐는데 선생님의 글을 매일 보며 백제를 새롭게 생각 하게 되었습니다. 감사합니다
The declining dynasty may be a historical necessity. In China, there is a saying that the moon is full of ups and downs, and things always have their own historical track.
Your country is replete with amazing stories and history of bygone years.
The people that remain are the offspring of the earlier ancestors that managed to survive and thrive under harsh conditions.
The recorded history that you show to us is priceless.
Thank you.
I had to add this to even let you know that I upvoted you.
You have an amazing following.
