Monument pancoran designed by Edhi Sunarso estimates in the year 1964 - 1965. While the casting process is carried out by the Decorative Bronze Art Bronze Sculpture Yogyakarta led by I Gardono. The weight of this bronze statue reaches 11 Ton. While the height of the statue itself is 11 meters, and the statue's legs reach 27 Meters. The development process is done by PN Hutama Karya with IR. Sutami as the executing architect.

The process was delayed due to the September 30th Movement of the PKI in 1965.

The design of this statue is based on the request of Bung Karno to show the strength of Indonesia in the field of aerospace. The emphasis of the sculpture design means that to achieve strength, the Indonesian people rely on the properties of Honest, Brave and Enthusiasm. The total cost of making Dirgantara Statue or Pancoran Statue in 1964 is 12 million rupiah.

The initial cost is borne by Edhi Sunarso, the sculptor. Bung Karno sold his personal car for 1 million rupiah at that time. The government itself only pays 5 million rupiah. The remainder, amounting to 6 million rupiah, into government debt that until now has never paid off.

Great man with great ideas. That's another epithet for Bung Karno. The traits of the great man lie in their eternal relics. In some ways, Bung Karno fulfilled that criterion. His teachings on Marhaenism, the discovery of Pancasila ideology, and the spirit of nationalism, at least we can still feel until this moment. Though he was "buried" for three decades, the traces of Bung Karno's remains and masterpieces remained immovable from the scourge of the times.

In addition to ideas and ideas of isms, teachings, spirits, and social and political values, Bung Karno also inherited monuments. He initiated the construction of the Istiqlal mosque that he targeted beyond the robustness of Borobudur temple. He designed a welcome monument at Bundaran HI which became the icon of the capital. He founded the monument of West Irian liberation in Lapangan Banteng. He also rekindled the spirit of the nation through the Dirgantara Statue in Pancoran.
