I'm from Venezuela but my family is from Syria. My Grandmother use to tell me how was to live in Syria arround 60 years ago and how beautiful it was. They were 13 brothers and sisters and lived all together. She even narrated me the story of his Grandfather that returned walking to Syria from the WWI and became blind in the hole travel. She has been suffering since the begining of the war. No homeland to return. For me i just have this idea that i don't have traceable roots anymore. There was this tradition in the family, you had to go at least one time in your live to Syria to register yourself in the Family Tree. It's Impossible now, and the family tree may be lost by now. But the world keeps going, same as life. Maybe one day i could visit Syria even if it's not the same as in the past.
